Excellent practice organizer
I've been searching for years for an app that would help in practice planning. I love that I can archive, diagram and video my drills so I can easily put together my practices. The ability to convert to pdf and print them makes it fast and easy. Sharing is simple and no pop ups, ads or in-app purchases make it headache free.

I have been regularly using this app for about 12mths now and I am a huge fan. With the latest update there are even more great options with my favourite being able to schedule and email all from the one place. And the developer is really responsive and will address any issues immediately-so highly recommended.

Potential but not there yet
App has a good layout and sets up well but is limited in a couple of areas: first, you cannot send a text message to an individual coach or player through the app, when you click on a contacts phone # the only choice is to call them. Second, messages cannot be setup to send replies only to generator so everyone is getting every response. That is no good and will be the reason we discontinue this app.

The wave of the future...
Without going into detail, let me begin by qualifying my remarks. I have been coaching longer than I care to admit (and at a relatively high level). I have always tried to be on the front line when it comes to organization and management of player files, drills and practices. I have even designed some of my own practice schedule programs. Suffice it to say that I have been down this road a few times. Assistant Coach seems to have pulled together all of the important aspects required to manage teams and even entire organizations with multiple teams.
I believe this program can, with a few minor adjustments/additions satisfy the needs of any coach who wants to be on top of his team's status.
The Suggestions:
1) The ability to sync between devices or save/mail the database and open it on a second device (iPad to iPhone and vice-versa)
2) The ability to import data/names from Contacts
If that works, and the program cost a little more, then so be it.
I think those who are serious about wanting to have control of, and quick access to, their information can accept that.
I have tried just about every option on the market... Some kept good attendance data, some kept track of practices, etc. But I never really had one that "really" helped me to:
• Write the practice
• Select the drills that were best suited for the group that was practicing that day
• Kept the practice moving and on time
• Instantly make notes to better prepare for the next session
° Print and Share Practices
° Record Games and Player Statistics
° Make Videos of Drills and/or use a Chalkboard
Assistant Coach has helped me achieve all the above. In addition, I am able to write practices on the fly ... The only Thing missing is a Timer that runs in conjunction with the Practice Session ... but I can improvise for that

I love the design and the set up of the app. A couple of workflow adjustments on the app side and this is not just a great tool, but also very, very handy ...

This app is better than others but still needs a little more. How about a ball icon? Or the ability to animate drills?

One step closer to perfect app
Thanks for the update but i think u forget about symbol for the ball and and for erasing individual line not only undo and for the perfection of this app maybe you could add an animation for drill that would be so much one hell of an app
Great App
Even it says you don't need weight and height to add a player, it won't add a player without it. Besides that great app for what I need it for.
The app I was looking for!
This app is just what I was looking for my work. Unlike most of the apps for coaches that I downloaded before, this app has many more features, and helps you on many aspects like team stats, practice plans, players performance. Good job!
Very good job
This app is leaps and bounds farther than anyone else's out there. This is the best app that I have found for the things that I need to do as a coach. Most apps for basketball coaches that allow you make plays or draw drills are very difficult and complicated to use and are more frustrating then just doing it on paper. It's the most comprehensive app I have found by far!

Not bad, on the right track
Overall this app is not bad, how ever it is very restrictive! You are not able to edit any of the field names. For example instead of "Regular Season" I cannot edit to show AAU season. It would also be nice if it could be upgraded to be used as a stat book to be used during games as opposed to have to input stats after the games. Last upgrade should be an option for stats for an individual player complete with picture for recruiting purposes.
