About
Astrio turns your phone into a window on the real sky above you.
WHAT YOU SEE
Nine thousand stars, the constellations that connect them, the planets, and the Moon with its current phase — all drawn for your exact location and the current moment. Move your phone and the sky moves with it.
FIND ANYTHING
Search for a star, a planet or a constellation and follow the guide until it is centred. Tap anything on screen to read what it is, how far away it sits, and when it rises and sets tonight.
TONIGHT, HOUR BY HOUR
A vertical timeline shows when real darkness begins, what climbs highest, and when each object is worth looking for. No guesswork about whether it is too early.
THE SPACE STATION
Astrio calculates when the International Space Station crosses your sky and whether it will still be lit by the Sun when it does. Orbit data comes from CelesTrak.
YOUR BIRTH SKY
See exactly where the Sun, Moon and planets stood at the moment you were born, with zodiac positions and houses. Compare two birth skies and read the geometry between them — the angles, the elements, the overlapping houses. Astrio measures positions. It does not predict, and it gives no advice.
BUILT FOR THE DARK
A night vision mode paints the whole app in red on black so your eyes stay adapted while you are outside.
TEN LANGUAGES
English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Arabic and Indonesian — including the star and constellation names.
SKY EVENTS
A twelve-month calendar of what is coming: full and new Moons, lunar and solar eclipses visible from where you are, planets at opposition and greatest elongation, close pairings of the Moon and planets, and the major meteor showers.
SHARE YOUR BIRTH SKY
Turn your birth sky into a portrait poster to share. Your birth date and place stay off the poster unless you choose to add them.
OBSERVING LOG
Mark what you have seen with one tap and collect badges along the way: the five naked-eye planets, the Space Station, and ten, twenty-five or fifty constellations.
HOW DARK IS YOUR SKY
An estimate of how dark the sky is where you stand and the nearest darker place on land, calculated on your device from NASA satellite night-light data. It is an estimate, not a measurement.
CONSTELLATION STORIES
Short stories behind twenty well-known constellations, each ending with a tip for finding it.
WIDGETS
A Moon phase widget and a Tonight widget for your Home Screen (iOS 17 or later): the darkness window, the next visible Space Station pass and the brightest planet, from the same on-device calculations as the app.
ASTRIO PRO
An optional subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase, unlocks the full birth chart with every planet and all twelve houses, unlimited profiles to compare, travel to any date and time, and reminders for sky events, rising objects and Space Station passes, with a Lock Screen countdown before the station appears. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can manage or cancel it in your account settings at any time. The lifetime purchase is a single payment and never renews.
Astrio works without an account. Your location, birth details and settings stay on your device.
