Great app
Simple, useful features, and responsive developer.
Beautiful app
Beautiful app but widget is not working?
It’s amazing
This app is truly brilliant at what it does
Really Neat Way to Look at the Sky!
This may not be brand new or flashy, but I really love the way this astrolabe visualizes the relationships between the celestial bodies as a function of time. If you actually read the instructions and play with the app you learn a lot about how things are related. Well done!
Perfect clock visual
Love how app shows solar & lunar positions & elevations correctly. The perfect fix to adjust to the idiotic standard-savings timeΔ.

Superb!
I purchased this app many years ago, and I use it frequently. It is a wonderful clear, but detailed, display of the sun, moon and planets.
Slow under newer iOS versions
I love this app and have used it for many years, it was my first astronomy app on this iPad. Unfortunately, since iOS 13 it’s gotten much slower and laggy, hopefully the developers can update it.
Fascinating
What a delightful little gateway to astronomy and geometry. I find it just all kinds of fun to poke around to different times and places, maybe I’m weird. This is the only app on my phone that is both truly free and that I open regularly.
Perfect
This is just a wonderful program, might not be as pretty as some of the others but it’s layout is crisp and clean and FREE.
One of my first goto astronomy apps everyday

Great Astronomical App
Although there are many more complex astronomical apps now available, I still after nearly ten years, use this Astrolabe as it provides a simple quick view of the night sky.
Abandonware
Extremely poor performance on latest iOS. Hasn’t been updated in over 4 years, needs to be removed from app store.
not very responsive
Under IOS 13, I can barely zoom in or out. When I tap on a planet, it has to think about it and decide if it wants to show me information about it. The red fonts are hard on the eyes. The last update was 4 years ago, and I suspect that the latest iOS versions are causing some of these problems.
Useful
I am learning to use an actual functional astrolabe, and this app has been extremely useful in my studies. Simply having the known altitude of the sun at my location allows me easy comparisons to my manual readings and helps me adjust/correct my mistakes. And it’s free?! Almost too good to be true.
the perfection of simplicity
please make sure this is compatible w ios updates!
Love This!!!
all the info in my hand!

Perfect!
I just got my first GermanEquatorial Mount (with a new Scope obviously), and was really disappointed when I found-out about setting the Right Ascension manual dial.
Now, with this App, I have my local position setting right on my phone....already calculated. All I have to do is aim my scope due south, reset, then find my next target.
Thanks much!

Perfect
This is literally exactly what I wanted. I had a Win-32 application that did some of what this thing does as my background, but this is way better. Most importantly, it's in my pocket.
Love the drag-the-time feature. Clear that the author wanted to make the app usable above all else. Works on >= iOS 6 which is perfect for a Luddite like me. No dumb or useless features. All parameters manually settable.

As a mechanical astrolabe user
Oh look, the North Star. No, that is not the North Star. To begin with, you were looking to the south. That is Venus.
That was an actual exchange with a neighbor. With this incredible app, you too can be the neighborhood expert on those bright objects in the sky.
I have used a mechanical astrolabe for decades, but it does not show the planets. This iPhone app is the perfect complement.

So cool !!
The mini skyline right in my hand ! So intuitive with great menus and settings !!
So awesomely simple and functional.
Would be nice to set an alarm for upcoming sidereal time, and full moon alerts.

Simple and effective
Been using it for years. No waiting for a heavy app to load, no looking like a weirdo pointing your phone at the sky. A 2-second glance and you know what you're looking at.
