It's up front on the iPhone dashboard, in the iPad and Mac sidebar, the one glanceable action on Apple Watch, and one tap away from your widgets. Free now means 50 questions, from anywhere you want. The free tier used to open one full category and lock the other eight, so you hit a wall before your first Word Knowledge question. Now your first 50 questions are free and can come from any of the nine categories — all 743 questions. The diagnostic and Quick 10 don't count against them. What you buy is volume, not access to the material. Search no longer goes out to the internet. It used to open Google in a web view. It now searches inside the app, and when it finds nothing, Apple's on-device tutor answers. Nothing leaves your iPhone. Accuracy fixes that actually mattered: • The dashboard's AFQT minimum was stuck at 31 — the Navy number — for every branch. If you picked Coast Guard (40) or Space Force (36), or applied with a GED, it told you that you qualified when you did not. • Two of the eight AFQT category descriptors contradicted the Department of Defense. Both corrected against four official documents. The 743 questions themselves did not change in this release. • "Erase everything" now erases everything, including on-device diagnostics and your Apple Watch daily goal. • The tutor no longer explains mistakes nobody made. Also: stronger contrast on the A/B/C/D answer badges, and the privacy text now reads "on your devices and your iCloud", which is what has actually been happening.
