What’s New in Athkari 1.1.0 We’ve been listening — and this update is all about bringing Athkari closer to the moments that matter most. Your home screen widgets have been completely reimagined. Every size now shows you what’s passed and what’s coming — a live elapsed counter since the last prayer, a live countdown to the next, and a quiet progress bar marking where you stand between the two. No clutter, just clarity. The Sun & Prayers widget brings a visual arc of the day’s solar journey right to your home screen, with each prayer time marked along the curve so you can feel the rhythm of the day at a glance. We also improved the stability of prayer times. A subtle issue that caused timings to occasionally shift by a minute has been resolved, ensuring more consistent and reliable prayer times throughout the day. For the Qibla, clarity comes first. The blue arrow has been replaced with a Kaaba icon, making it immediately clear which direction is the Qibla at a glance, right within the compass. We’ve also introduced gentle, moment-based reminders. Short adhkar now appear at thoughtful, non-intrusive times — simple prompts like “Remember Allah, and He will remember you” or a daily dhikr — arriving quietly throughout the day to keep the heart connected, without breaking your flow. We also fixed something that had been quietly frustrating: the app will no longer show raw coordinates in place of your city name. Whether you’re in Riyadh, London, or anywhere in between, Athkari now waits until it has a real location to show — and holds onto it gracefully when the signal isn’t there.
