I tried to make an account and the only option for a username is to have one randomly generated for you. If you want a customized username, you got to pay, and i mean pay well. Starting at $10 for a unique one, all the way to $5,000 for a single first name as a username. No offense devs, but there are many alternative microsite services that allow you to create a free account with any untaken username. Yall have a strange business model, and i don't believe anyone wants a microsite on your service soo bad as to pay hundreds to thousands of dollars. No thanks, moving on.

A paid atSign is not needed to use our privacy first apps. A paid atSign is for customization and personalization. Like a custom URL. The reason why custom atSigns are paid is because atSigns not only act as personal identifiers on the atPlatform, but they are also a personal data store which allows you to use the same identifier across other apps on the platform.
