The app needs a subscription. I confirmed that the actual app does not require a subscription. If you go to a developer, which is in this area it actually isn’t the actual audacity. The actual audacity cost no money. This is a FAKE 1 star

Hier wird Name und logo des Open source projekts genutzt, aber die App will sofort nach dem Start ein Abo zu horrenden Preisen. Ich habe sie gleich wieder gelöscht.

A scam wearing audacity’s name
This “Audacity” app is a fake, predatory knockoff. It abuses the real Audacity name to push misleading paywalls, constant upsells, and subscription traps. Nothing is free, the UI is deceptive, and the whole thing feels engineered to take your money. Avoid this app.

Useless
Couldn’t even open the .wav file I wanted to edit, the whole reason I got the app. It plays fine on my phone but audacity can’t read it
