An Upgrade but Horrible Downgrade from SoundPrism
07 April 2025: I am not sure what or why Grace Cloud has chosen to shove their Sound Prism Apps to the wayside in 2022. I still have them because they are INFINITELY more useful than the downgrade to Audanika which lacks the range of Sound Prism apps.
I see this downgrade as an action to put a music learning tool in the hands of children and having to pay for songs as extortionary when they do not seem to be added to. Thankfully, SoundPrism apps still work on iPadOS 18.5 despite Grace Cloud stating that the apps will no longer be supported after 2022.
Wake up, Grace Cloud !!. You are killing a good and very usable music tool in order to squeak out mony on a child’s dummy downed music tool with jukebox capability. What a freaking shame!

This looks like Sound Prism but yet it’s not and to call this better than Sound Prism is a complete joke.This is a beta version of Sound Prism that never got completed.
I’m so sorry, but I’ll have to be absolutely honest
This has till now haven’t even reached 20% of it’s potential, just look at GSI, Audiothing, OSC Audio, Bram, FAC, Paul just to name a few, what they’re coming with, they’ve raised the bar or the standard of AppStore’s credibility so high that soon the mainstream Corporate entities will be out of the action!

Latest update is amazing
With the latest update Audanika is now a worthy successor to soundprism. It completely customisable so you can go as high or as low as you want and it still works as a midi controller so you can play any sound you have. And it’s now free. Thanks to the developers.
One addition I would like is if you could add the option in extensions to the bass section to play multiple deep notes simultaneously like soundprism had, which gave it a really big sounding bass.

Update improves menu system
Many thanks for the update with its much improved menu system.
For those criticizing Audanika, I partially agree, but I also feel it has interesting qualities. I have kept SoundPrism Pro and SP Electro as I love them both in their original form.
Just a tip: If you want to keep using SoundPrism Pro and SP Electro on your iPad don’t update them as the update will remove access to the app and will just show a splash screen advertising Audanika when you tap on their icon. I found this out on my iPad Air 2, where I no longer can use SoundPrism Pro, but I still have access to SP Electro as I didn’t update it. On my old iPad Air fortunately I still have them both as I haven’t updated them.

Beim Klick auf das Logo, bekomme ich nur „Meine Lieder, Geburtstagslieder und Weihnachtslieder“ aber keine weiteren Einstellungsmöglickeiten wie MIDI etc. angezeigt.

No controls now
Following recent updates there are now no controls available beyond playing pre recorded birthday and Christmas songs. Please fix.
Confused. What happened to this app?
This app was great before, especially as a midi controller. Now, the chord mode seems to be gone, and there is nothing its place but a list of Christmas songs? Why?

Fun to play
The newest update to v3 combined with iOS16 make for a fantastic play surface that can be run side-by-side with AUM. The Christmas songs are a very fun way to learn new tunes, I greatly enjoy the way it is represented to play!

Tolle App, es gibt eine Nachspielfuktion, damit kann man die Weihnachtslieder lernen, die ist besonders schön für Kinder. Ich mag Weihnachtslieder nicht so gerne, deswegen habe ich andere gespielt, wie Mad World. Das ist auch ohne die Punkte von der Nachspielfunktion nicht so schwer.
Wer musikalisch ist kann damit auch ziemlich leicht komponieren, es klingt halt nie schief, deswegen nervt es auch nicht, wenn sich Kinder darauf ausprobieren.
Meine Empfehlung: auf dem Tablet benutzen, das geht einfacher, weil die Tasten natürlich viel größer sind.
Wer musikalisch ist kann damit auch ziemlich leicht komponieren, es klingt halt nie schief, deswegen nervt es auch nicht, wenn sich Kinder darauf ausprobieren.

Ganz lieben Dank für diesen ermutigenden Kommentar. 🥁 Genau, Audanika ist auch gut darin, eigene Melodien inkl. Akkordbegleitung zu entwickeln. Ich nutze die Weihnachtslieder auch, um Ideen für eigene Songs zu entwickeln.
Guter erster Eindruck
Gerade ausprobiert und „Alle Jahre wieder“ gespielt. Ging echt super einfach, bin mal gespannt was sonst noch so kommt.

Das Spielen der vorgegebenen Songs macht echt gute Laune. Eine Abspielfunktion würde ich mir noch wünschen, damit ich auch die Lieder ins Ohr bekomme, die ich noch nicht kenne. Wenn man im Hintergrund noch ein Rhythmustool laufen lassen könnte wäre es Perfekt. Es ist ein Mega schönes Tool, einfach, ohne Vorkenntnisse, in die Welt des Musizierens einzutauchen. Weiter so !!!

I have used sound prism since the beginning. Audanika is the newest version of the app. My greatest experience with Grace Cloud GmbH is how responsive and how great they are when I had questions. I would like to suggest to all users, let’s get the word out about this new musical instrument and get the entire planet on board using it!
