I agree with Boulder Beast: bad app, NOT free!

Getting tired of this time-wasting ruse (or oversight), which happens over and over:

I find an app on AppRaven that advertises a free lifetime offer. AND the developer says right on the AppStore page “PREMIUM LIFETIME $0.00” (or words to that effect). Yet when I install the app, register an account, etc, there is no such offer.

Isn’t this FALSE ADVERTISING?

Developers, please quit making these fake offers or I’ll continue giving 1-star reviews — here as well as on AppRaven.

So this was offered on app advice for lifetime free but there was some kind of glitch. They fix it today with an update but now the offer is expired. That gets one star and a delete.

To confirm, there was no glitch and the new update had nothing to do with the temporary offer. This offer was for a limited time (one day) so you likely missed it. We understand your frustration at missing out on a free offer, and regret that this prompted you to leave a bad review.

Ripoff

So it’s supposed to be lifetime version for free through app advice - which says go to the paywall and then select lifetime version - well it never happens - you can’t pick lifetime version off the paywall. Why? B/c. It only has monthly or yearly. And the link for support just brings you to their website and I don’t see anywhere on there where you can contact them. It doesn’t even give an email address. Complete waste, very disappointed.

Don’t get this app if you’re into novels!

This app claims to be “the ultimate audiobook app for learning and knowledge”, but it definitely falls short if you’re interest in novels. It has a grand total of 13 novels, of which only TWO were written in this century. Of the eleven 20th century selections, nine are instantly-recognized classics (to me) with their own Wikipedia pages, and of those, between high school and college, I’d read eight of them. I was looking for an app jam-packed with current fiction, and this just isn’t it.

We have a few novels but not many, we regret that this misunderstanding caused you to leave a bad review.

Worthless

The search is hidden. The button to get the app gone free is hidden. This is such a poorly constructed app!! Perhaps the developers can listen to a book to learn how to make a useable app!! The App Store needs to remove this.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that creating an account prompted you to leave a bad review. In fact, it is necessary to have an account to use the app. You can easily delete your account and data if you are not satisfied by going to profile, scrolling down and tapping "delete account".

Helps me a lot

Forces me to make notes on the books listened too, thanks for that! I like the emphasis on learning, and not just listening

Use it everyday!

This app has helped me with grasping knowledge and being able to get through books faster. It helps my discipline and I know listen to books when running, when driving or walking somewhere, instead of music on repeat…

Over the past couple of years, I’ve learnt a lot from this book collection. Love it!

Great for commutes!

Perfect for offline listening, great choice of books. I like the fact that it has a notes section and I can learn from the books read - great feature 👍🏻

Great app for listening on flights and commutes!

Use this for some time now, love it! I can get access to the whole library without paying for each book separately. Also, the note taking feature has really taught me to think more about what I listen to!

Great choice of books too, especially for people like me who are in to business, marketing and personal development.
