Bad app, good content

The app design and usability are really outdated - but I've listened into some of the talks which are really high quality (speaker Gil Fronsdal). You need to find your way around with filtering and searching, then you can find and "favorite" stuff for easier access.

Great but missing transcripts

This is an incredible app, rich with features and talks. I use it regularly to catch up on the happenings at IMC and IRC.

Recently, however, the app is not producing transcripts of the talks. This may have happened with the last update. The transcripts are useful for identifying talks that I would like to listen to. It would be helpful to have this feature returned.

There are no available talks or audio in the app, unfortunately.

Best Buddhist meditation app

Audiodharma has saved my life. Thank you for developing this app with such relevant talks and meditation.

A endless wealth of mindfulness and dharma talks and guided meditations

The Insight Meditation Centre is a gift to the world… as is this app, which brings together thousands of talks from the teachers there.

Not a fan of the AI

Spiritual questions are human questions. We can chat with AI anytime we want—we don’t need it in an app where we are seeking sangha and wise teachers. Please don’t train your AI on our most personal spiritual questions.

AirPlay gone after recent update

Can we get it back please ?

Sophia broke the app

After the last release, the app will no longer work without WiFi. I get stuck on the “configuring” loading screen. Please release a fix asap!

Not working on Apple devices

Cannot listen to talks on Apple Devices

Amazing resource! One small problem

This is an amazing resource and I’m so happy to have stumbled across it. Having so many dharma talks and guided meditations available in one (searchable!) spot rather than having to go to multiple websites and podcast feeds is such a gift. The UI could be a little more intuitive, but it’s easy to figure out and once you know how it works you’re all set.

My one wish would be for an update that allows the app to play audio when the screen is locked - right now if you navigate away from the app or lock your phone it stops playing, which is a huge drain on my already-struggling phone battery. That will probably limit the app’s utility for me in the long run unless it gets fixed. But overall this is a great resource.

?

App today is nonfunctional.

Thank you

I am really grateful to IMC for sharing the dharma talks and developing the app. There were some issues with the rollout of the updated app (I lost all of my previously downloaded talks, favorite talks, etc. And the long press to open menus for talks didn’t work on my iPhone until I deleted the updated app and reinstalled again and updated my iPhone iOS.) But overall it’s an excellent app. Thank you!

Merci pour cette application !

Merci pour cette application ! Serait-il possible de la rendre compatible avec l’application « Santé » de l’iPhone ? 🙏🏻

Latest update has performance and stability issues

Since the update a few weeks ago (which changed the icon to orange and has a darker theme) - the app’s performance has taken a huge hit for me.

Buttons are slow to respond, page transitions are laggy, the app crashes or just becomes unresponsive and requires a quit and restart. This happens often when I return to the app to continue a talk - almost every time it seems.

Design-wise it was a nice update, but I hope there is something that can be done to return to the previous versions stability and performance.

Also, a small nit while I’m here - please make the app compatible with the native iOS media player! It’s cumbersome to have to go into the app and interact with the UI every time I want to pause or resume a talk. All other audio content apps do this - I use my headphones to pause, as well as the Lock Screen / control panel media controller for everything audio based. I doubt I’m the only one!

That said, thank you for the gifts of your efforts with this app. It is changing the world!

Sad after the update

It’s a wonderful (5 star) app, but I am very sad that the update deleted all my favorite and downloaded talks/meditations. I’d accumulated a number of them over time and I don’t know if I’ll be able to find them all again.

Thank you soo much

This update has changed the visual contrast. Finally I can see without squinting. A big deal for me!!

Life changing

I learned to meditate from the guided meditation recordings from the Insight Meditation Center (Audio Dharma). It has improved my life in so many ways. For those computer people out there... I like to think of meditation as “de-fragmenting” my brain.

A Truly Great Resource

A truly great resource which offers a wealth of Buddhist lectures and meditation instruction. Many thanks to the Insight Meditation Center.

2 issues to fix and it goes 5*

Been an avid consumer of IMC contents for years, very convenient that I don’t need to go via the browser and the ability to download talks if i know I’m going to be disconnected for some time. I’m grateful!
Two things can be improved: 1 font is too small on the iPad and 2 going from the list of talks to the player changes the screen from black to white, that is blinding when listening at night in the dark.
Thanks!
