Works for me

This thing works great

Disable background app refresh!!

When you stop recording, you have to press two separate buttons. The first one acts as a pause for a recording session (allowing it to be resumed it at a later time) and the second one is what completes the file saving. If you only do the first of these and forget to press the second, your phone screen might dim and trigger a background refresh. This will CORRUPT your voice memo and make it unplayable! Don’t make the mistake I did; disable that setting for this app!! I had this happen to me recently and it bummed me out.

EDIT: This just seems so convoluted. Guess it wasn’t so much the app refresh and hinges around the screen automatically dimming. I’ve had no issues with the app until this glitch and I’ve otherwise been happy with it.

Response from developer

Thank you for your comment. Could you confirm whether “Auto-Lock OFF” was enabled in the app settings? Did the screen dim automatically, or did you lock the phone or switch apps? Also, by “Background App Refresh,” do you mean the setting in iOS? The app does not use that feature to save recordings.

A life saver

I’ve been looking for a way to record podcast episodes on the go during the day when my voice is freshest. This gives me the capability to save audio files in WAV format to easily edit in my software later at home.

FAQ

What kind of audio files can this app record?

This app supports recording in WAV and M4A file formats. For WAV, you can choose bit depths of 16, 24, or 32 bits, and sampling rates from 8 to 192 kHz. For M4A, it supports sampling rates of 44.1 or 48 kHz, with bit rates ranging from 64 to 320 kbps.

Does the app support stereo recording?

Yes, the app supports stereo recording using the built-in microphone (Front/Back), though this feature has model restrictions on iOS 14 and later. If your model does not support stereo, the same sound will be recorded on both Lch and Rch.

Are there any in-app purchases required to use all features?

Yes, certain advanced playback features require in-app purchases. Specifically, the setting of pitch (± 1 octave) and the 10-band equalizer are unlocked via in-app purchases.

Can I edit recordings after they are made?

Yes, the app allows for trimming of recording files directly on the playback screen. The trimmed files will reflect any applied settings from the 'Speed/Pitch' or 'Varispeed' functions, as well as the equalizer settings.

Is call recording supported by this app?

No, call recording is not supported by this application. The app is designed for general audio recording purposes such as meetings, music, or voice memos, but not for capturing phone conversations.
