Import audio or video from Files, or choose a video from Photos. AudioTrim reads the media locally, identifies its audio track, and moves you into a focused editor built around one job: selecting the section that should remain. Your original source stays separate from the new exported clip. SEE THE CUT BEFORE YOU MAKE IT A responsive waveform gives you visual context for the entire source. Drag the start and end handles, move the playhead, and preview the selected range before exporting. Duration, file size, sample rate, and channel count help you understand the source while clear time labels make the chosen section easy to verify. Adjust either boundary while keeping the other fixed as you listen. AudioTrim normalizes the chosen range to the source duration and keeps a minimum viable clip length, helping prevent an invalid selection before export. Return to the source screen and choose different media whenever the job changes. CLEAN UP SILENCE AND PAUSES Enable edge-silence cleanup to shorten quiet space at the beginning and end of your selected range. For spoken recordings, inner-pause removal can condense longer quiet gaps while preserving the audible sections around them. Choose a gentle, balanced, or stronger sensitivity to fit the source. SHAPE THE FINISHED CLIP Add a fade in, a fade out, or both for a smoother start and finish. Repeat the selected result when you need a loopable cue, practice phrase, reference sound, or repeated prompt in one exported file. Preview the range again before committing to the trim. Export choices adapt to the current source. IMPORT, EXPORT, AND SHARE Start with local audio in Files, a local video that contains audio, or a video from Photos. This makes it simple to keep a line from a personal video, shorten a recording, save a lecture highlight, isolate a podcast moment, prepare a music reference, or create a compact sound clip from media you already have. During export, AudioTrim shows progress and lets you cancel. When processing finishes, review the result and its file size, then share it with the iOS share sheet or save it to Files. The workflow remains organized around Source, Trim, and Result, so there are no tracks, layers, or project bins to manage. AudioTrim remembers useful defaults such as silence cleanup, pause sensitivity, fades, repeat choices, network optimization, and supported export selections. Reset them anytime in Settings. LOCAL-FIRST BY DESIGN Media analysis and trimming happen on your device. AudioTrim is intentionally a focused cutter rather than a multitrack workstation, recorder, merger, ringtone maker, or cloud production suite. It gives you a direct way to select, clean, shape, and export one useful clip while keeping the workflow compact.
