Great

Love this app! I've always wanted to read books like Principles, Influence, and Steve Jobs, but never had the time to get through the full books. I listen to Voxbrief during my commute and get to quickly learn the core ideas

Keeps me focused

Finished the summary for essential strategies for social anxiety today.Usually my mind wanders with audiobooks but seeing the words highlighted as they’re spoken is a game changer.

Response from developer

Hi Miany824! We are so happy to hear this. Audiobooks are great, but we completely understand how easy it is to zone out. That’s exactly why we built the karaoke-style highlighting—to engage both your eyes and ears and keep you locked in. We're thrilled it helped you stay focused through "Essential Strategies for Social Anxiety." Thanks for sharing your experience!

Saves me money

I use this as my main filter before committing to buying hardcover books. So many business books are just one good idea padded with 300 pages of fluff. If the 15-min walkthrough here is actually packed with value, I'll go buy the physical copy. It's already saved me so much money and time on books I would have abandoned halfway through.

Hi TT_TT6687! You just described exactly why we built VoxBrief. We completely agree—there's nothing worse than investing hours into a 300-page book only to realize it could have been an article. We're thrilled to be your trusted filter, helping you separate the fluff from the truly valuable insights. Thanks for letting us save you time and money!

Transparent

Clean app, great audio quality, and very fair pricing. Would love to see more science books added though.

Response from developer

Hi wowlfulu! Thank you for the kind words about our app design, audio quality, and pricing. We really appreciate it! We hear you loud and clear on the science books—our content team is actually working on expanding that category right now. If you have any specific science titles in mind, feel free to drop them in the Wishlist feature in the app!

Really smart feature

Being able to sample half the book is so smart.i realized i like the narrator’s pacing on Descartes’ Error and just unlocked the rest immediately.

Response from developer

Hi PJRN671! Thank you so much! We strongly believe in a "try before you buy" approach. We want you to know exactly what you're getting—from the content quality to the narrator's pacing—before you ever spend a dime. We're thrilled you enjoyed "Descartes' Error" and that our model works for you. Happy listening!

So refreshing

Honestly, I like that app doesn’t force you into a sketchy free trial before you know what you are getting. You can listen to a decent chunk first, which was enough for me to judge the narrator and pacing. I tried Descartes’ Error, liked the way it sounded, and just unlocked the rest.

Response from developer

Thanks, Remodel Dk.! We really appreciate you noticing that. We wanted people to be able to hear enough of a book to judge the voice, pacing, and overall feel before paying, so it’s great to know that worked well for you. Hope you enjoy the rest of Descartes’ Error!

Actually helps you remember

Finally a summary app that doesn't go in one ear and out the other. The intro and outro structure really helps the ideas stick.

Response from developer

Thank you so much, kskitts-723, for the thoughtful review! We’re really glad the intro and outro structure is helping the ideas stick. That’s exactly what we hoped the app would do: make summaries not just easy to listen to, but easier to remember.

Finally!

I usually hate book summaries because they just give you a list of bullet points that don’t actually teach you anything. This app actually walks you through the concepts.I listen to the summary of “The Score Takes Care of Itself” on my drive to work and the way they broke down Bill Walsh’s leadership framework actually made sense. The 15 mins fly by.

Hi Larisa! This review made our day. You hit the nail on the head—we built VoxBrief exactly because we were tired of shallow bullet points that don't stick. We want to provide real, actionable walkthroughs. Bill Walsh's framework in "The Score Takes Care of Itself" is brilliant, and we're so glad our breakdown did it justice during your commute. Thanks for learning with us!

Perfect for commute

Becoming Steve Jobs was packed with actionable stuff, not just vague advice. Good for my morning commute.

Response from developer

Hi Be my SunFlower, thanks for the wonderful review! So glad "Becoming Steve Jobs" is making your morning commute more valuable. More great titles on the way — happy listening!

Needs a highlight tool

Good for retention. I use it every night. Only giving 4 stars because I really wish I could highlight parts of the transcript and save them to look back on later.

Response from developer

Hi Jellabana, thank you for the lovely review and for making us part of your nightly routine! Great news — transcript highlighting and saving is coming next Friday. We hope it earns us that 5th star. Thanks for the suggestion!

Nice app for quick unlocking your mind

Excellent app. Clear, well-structured summaries, a beautiful reading experience, save my time to read the whole book. Listen to one or two books on my way to work.

Response from developer

Hi Jennifer! Thank you so much for the wonderful review. Turning the daily commute into a time for learning and "unlocking your mind" is exactly why we built VoxBrief. We're thrilled to hear that you're enjoying the structured summaries and the reading experience. Happy listening!

Better than any book review for deciding what to read

So I actually use this as a filter before I buy books — saves me from dropping $20 on something that turns out to be one decent idea padded with filler. The chapter modules let you see real quick if a book actually has substance or if it's just vibes. And the depth surprised me. The Principles summary (Ray Dalio) wasn't some "here are 4 bullet points" thing — it walked through the actual logic of why his framework works. Came away feeling like I genuinely understood the book, not just skimmed it. Ended up buying the full Principles hardcover after, which I guess means the app works lol

Pure Gold! Captured the essence of Atomic Habits perfectly.

I’ve been meaning to read Atomic Habits and How to Talk to Anyone for ages, but never had the time. VoxBrief broke them down into 15-minute summaries that hit all the key insights without the fluff. The audio quality is top-notch and the takeaways are actually actionable. It’s a game-changer for my morning commute! Highly recommend for anyone looking to level up their life.
