This is an excellent sounding synth and works perfectly with Logic Pro for iPad. I wish there was a Mac version too because I like to start projects on my iPad and finish them on my Mac Studio. Not a huge deal. I just bounce in place and export a wav file into Logic Pro on my Mac instead of a midi file. I’ll always have the original midi file on my iPad if I need it. Hook a midi controller up to this synth and you will be amazed. It has a lot of features and they’re all easy to access. The presets are great but you’ll really want to mess with things and make your own sounds. The sequencer is great as well. I can’t believe this is free.

Most of your synths I’ve been on tonight 12th September 2026
So far tonight I’ve been on nerd, king of fm, j6 ,j8 , king of digital all in Cubasis 3 in auv3 only. I press on a preset then I press on another preset then it automatically moves to the first preset I picked and sometimes it jumps to a different instrument. One minute it’s a pad then jumps to an arp I just cannot keep it on one preset. These synths are awesome, I also have synth one and pro-A5, viral , king of bass which I haven’t used to see if they have the same problem or am I doing something wrong? If not pls fix

One of the best software synths out there (and the rest are the developer’s other synths!)
So musically playable I was able to record an entire album on a plane trip, each track using a single patch, the step sequencer and sound modulation controls! AudioKit Pro has developed the best sounding and most playable phone synths on the planet—and they sound like they’re from another one!

I don’t know why or how you manage to give this away without ads, scraping user data or just straight up making it paid… I think you must be a saint on that front, seriously. As for how good it is? It’s one of the best synths on the store in my opinion.

The sound of it is insane. Simplicity really drives your creativity forward. I’m creating patches every single day. I only wish there was a vst version of it, so I could fire it up in Bitwig.

What am I speaking about? Principles, character, good folk. The fact this is free is criminal. Do what they ask and leave a honest review. It’s crazy, cause I know that’s what they want. They don’t want you to say you like it if you don’t. What they do want is a balanced critique. So if you do not like it say why. Anyway the sound quality is bonkers. And not just like for an app. No the sound quality is ridiculous. Hook up a decent midi to this and it’s your fault if you can’t get something properly done. Ok that’s it. I only poke my head out of my cave to leave these kind of things when I’m emotionally moved. I didn’t even mention the free stuff in addition to. Seriously you (synth one) should ask for something. Seriously.

This app is near perfect . Note to the developers : please allow this to download/run on Macs as well as iOS . It would be very very useful to be able to bring projects with this and other audiokitpro AUs from iPad to Mac and back . Truly, Truly Unbelievable!
Its very rare that i write a review these days with the zeitgeist seemingly bombarding us with discontent at every turn, but — this synth motivates me. I cannot believe that this is free! In my personal opinion, this provides a warmer, fuller version of the real analog synth sound than any other i’ve heard yet and i’ve been buying ios synthesizers for about 15 years. Beautiful effects contribute to the sound for sure but remove all the effects and it still sounds smooth, lush and warm. I am primarily a guitar player and this synth truly feels like the tone of a singing yet biting tube amp. The kind people pay big money for. Sometimes a developer, due to who knows what factors, comes up with something exceptional beyond words and this synth in my opinion is one of those instances. I don’t know how much better software synth can sound because this really does sound like the intended original. Well done Audiokit! And better than well done for making this piece of technical art free. That, in our age of selfishness is almost as great a thing as the sound itself. Thank you devs.

Best software synth I ever played
Thanks so much for making this free. This is the best app you ever made. I was surprised with how much detail this includes. For a while, I stopped using software synths and tried to create my own hardware synth sounds in the korg minilogue. I love that I can plug my guitar into it to get the filter, lfo and delay effects. I wish I had a AudioKitSynth One J6 HARDWARE synth that I can plug my guitar into to use the effects as well. It would probably be so expensive though. Even though this is software, all the textures and many layers of this synth gives strong illusions of that hardware feel.
Well done on this masterpiece app.
My only request is if you can add a feature while changing the tuning from 440. Please allow 2 decimal values. I used to play 432 tuning because it’s like a rounded off earth frequency, but I now play a tuning that’s tuned exactly to earth and it gives a calming sensation. And if you add this feature, please also allow typing in the value. Other apps that allow tuning with 2 decimal numbers mostly only has a knob to adjust the tuning that doesn’t allow the exact value I need. I can use another app to pitch it close to where I need it, but that creates lag when I play.
