User reviews

Outdated

I should have read how old the last review was before I purchased this app. Seemed like a great idea and in theory would have worked out good for me. The last review was years ago and this app appears to have been abandoned. The app does not work at all on my current iPhone.

Müll

Da geht garnichts und sieht aus wie Windows 98.
Schrott

Audio Step doesn’t work

Doesn’t work at all, feel scammed out of $0.99

Waste of money

Only works with Apple Music. Most of my music is on YouTube music now. Useless to me

Doesn’t work at all

It worked only somewhat years ago but the new updates have ruined it. It won’t upload any of my songs. When I look up the playlists through the app and I select a song it does not load it into the app. Complete waste of money.

FAQ

What does AudioStep do?

AudioStep helps you improve your running cadence and reduce the risk of injury by synchronizing your steps with the beat of your music. It analyzes your music and adjusts the tempo to your chosen beats per minute without altering the pitch.

How does running to a specific BPM help?

Studies suggest that running at around 180 beats per minute can reduce injury risk. A slower cadence means longer time in the air and a harder landing, increasing impact. By matching your steps to a higher BPM, you can achieve a faster turnover and potentially land softer.

Can I customize the BPM?

Yes, you can set your target BPM using a slider, ranging from 120 up to 200 BPM. This allows you to experiment with different tempos to find what works best for your running style and goals.

Does the app support other fitness trackers?

The app offers support for Runkeeper and Bluetooth heart rate monitors. It also provides voice-over status updates on your distance, time, pace, and step count, with customizable update intervals.

Is AudioStep free to use?

Yes, the application is available for free. It does not feature in-app purchases or advertisements, allowing for an uninterrupted user experience.
