My students enjoy the app and I enjoy the level of difficulty it has with the directions. I just wish it had even more directions because it’s that good of an app.

Amazing

So good

Great but Too Quiet

My students are all students with hearing loss. This is just the type of app that many of them need but it is too quiet. There should be a volume control for the foreground noise rather than, or in addition to, the background noise. If this were fixed I would give it a 5 star rating.

Love this app

I love this app because it allows to to target different concepts for individual students in a group. I like the levels of complexity, and especially the temporal concepts. I would like to see multi-steps added.

Fun

I love this app. I like all of the concepts embedded in the directions. Kids love the basketball games reward.

It Has It All & Is Research Based!

I love that this application works on multiple goals and you can use it with multiple clients at a time with data collection. Sometimes, with all that it features, it can get a bit overwhelming. That can be a blessing or a curse depending on how much time you spend prior to a session setting it up. I always spend a lot of time researching and trialing an application prior to using it with a client, so it gets easier the more you use it. What I love about this application is that it works on following different types of directions and gets progressively more difficult by adding additional concepts. In addition, you can add background noise.

One thing I really like that changed from the last version is that there are now two different reward games that a user can play! I would probably play either game with older or younger students. There are also more settings, but I still am not sure why there is an option to enable/disable audio since this is an auditory-specific application.

Go To App for Auditory Processing

As an SLP I keep a folder containing Language Processing apps and this is one of my 'Go To' apps for both younger students (one step direction with location concepts) and even upper elementary autistic students. Use it to teach retrieval strategies, e.g.self-repeat key elements in direction, chunking, etc. I like the fact that 'before/after' concepts are placed in different parts of the directions. Definitely recommend this to SLPs.

SLP

Great app! Very well organized and easy to access. The students love playing basketball as their reward too. It feels like there are infant options for targeting auditory memory with this app.

Good, could be Great with one improvement

As a Speech Pathologist working with school age children I find this app very useful; however, I need better descriptions of each level in the report section. Most of my students make errors based on the language used in the directions, therefore, I would like to have the vocabulary targeted at each level described in the report section along with their percentage correct. For example, tell me if the level is teaching before/after or above/below/next to.

I love the app, but it could be even better. Thank you for your consideration!

slp dodea

I have used this app for a year and a half. I have had the opportunity to use with language students, as well as the autistic, and very special needs population. I have found it to be great with both groups, it really holds their attention, and also they love to see how the performed. I would recommend it to any speech pathologist. Its a must have!

Auditory Workout

As an SLP this has been a great addition to my work with basic concepts. My students enjoy it and I enjoy that the reinforcing game is quick.

Students Love the App

My students love using the Auditory Workout App, I plug in earphones and each child has an opportunity to have their special turn. The activities progressively get more challenging and data tracts student's progress which is then used to guide group lessons. I like having the concepts before and after as well, in the beginning and the middle of directions.
The only improvement I would make is to add multi- step directions.

Nice App!

I like the way this app is arranged. It allows my students to work on the areas they need to target. Some of them need the reinforcement of a game and some do not and the app lets me select what they need.

SLP

This app is really fun for my students. They are enjoying an activity that can sometimes be frustrating and/or boring. My kids are motivated and really enjoy playing the games.

Auditory Workout

Great app. It allows you to track progress for multiple users. Concepts covered are needed for academic success.

Great app for auditory memory!

This is a great app for auditory memory. I really like how the activities are divided into sections with increasing difficulty of object, adjectives, colors etc. The temporal and conditional sections are challenging for students and allow time to talk about the correct answers. The new and improved basketball game is great, too!

Ok app

I really like how many levels of directions there are but I wish you could mix the different levels. I think the idea of the basketball game was really motivating for my students but the actual game is ridiculously easy and boring. My first grader could just hold his finger near the net and ball after ball just goes through.

Awesome app!

I LOVE using this app. I loves how it breaks down the skills so you can target only one concept at a time. I only with there was an option to randomize the directions when targeting multiple levels. Also, I wish it had 2 and 3 step directions for the levels (or that it said in each description) off it were 2 or 3 step. I'd also like to see more crisp, primary colors used. One student pressed, what I thought was correct, the "blue" bike. It turns out that bike wasn't blue in the eyes of the app I'm guessing it was "green". This was confusing for both me and my student.

Overall, great way to breakdown each skill and teach them!

Boring and repetitive

Very boring game to play. Questions are too slow and repetitive. Reward games are boring and glitchy - not a reward for iPad savvy kids at all. I was expecting something much more useful and fun.

Repetitive questions

This app has the potential to be fantastic, but is let down by the repetitive questions.
I was excited by the update and then realised the questions are the same but the order has changed.
Please update the questions to be randomised and you have a great product.
Until then its not worth the money and doesn't function as designed
