Really nice concept, but buggy. Misses NOTAMs.

This works very well for task planning and viewing Skysight weather, but I find it can be quite buggy. For example, sometimes it misses NOTAMs. If you can’t rely on NOTAM data, it’s worthless for that and if all that’s left is weather and task visualisation, I don’t think it’s worth the sub price.

Wasted my time on this

Sad experience…found that not all UK airspace is covered in this application as the region for Northern Ireland (NI) is missing. This should not be a problem if Ireland had been included, but this isn’t available either.

Please address this. The application should include all of the UK, but, more importantly, it should include Ireland airspace and turnpoints also.

It is not acceptable to be charged the same and then have to load your own airspace and turnpoints. Hardly a ‘welcome to the application’ experience.

Streckenplanung

Wenig Karteninformation dadurch keine Orientierungshilfe auf der Karte. Dörfer namentlich angegeben, aber keine Städte, Flughäfen, Flugplätze, Staatsgrenzen.

Vielen Dank für das tolle Feedback. Der Name und Code von den Flugplätzen wird seit der Update 1.9 angezeigt. Aktuelle Lufträume für die 2026 Saison sind jetzt auch automatisch mitdabei. Viele Grüße aus Berlin.

KEIN ZUGRIFF AUF WETTER

Trotz Abo funktioniert der zuriff auf die Wetterprognosen nicht. Support ist keiner vorhanden

Loads all skysight data ; hrs & days

This is the only iOS app I have found that caches all hrs & days of skysight data, so you don’t need a cellular connection in the air.
However, it needs a few features adding. Presently your location on the map is not shown. And also I don’t see a button to enable automatically select time and day to display, and to update displayed data as the time changes.

Worthless!

This app does nothing! In addition to spending 40+ dollars on the app you now must Buy a subscription for $89 a year. with that you get to use their website, which is much better than the app itself. Save your money and don’t buy the app!

Thanks for your feedback. The app contains NOTAMs, Airspaces and task planning on a single map for free. Paying for the app enables features like exporting planned Tasks to an SD card and built-in Aufwind weather forecasts. Connecting to SkySight is optional but it enables even higher resolution forecasts.

Keine Beschreibung

Ich habe die App auf mein IPhone geladen, finde aber nirgends eine Beschreibung dazu. Nach einigem Probieren ist es mir gelungen, Aufgaben zu laden und Luftraum-Infos abzufragen. Ich finde aber keinen Star-Button und die App startet beim Fliegen auch nicht automatisch. Weder in der App selbst noch im Internet konnte ich eine Beschreibung darüber finden, was diese App eigentlich macht bzw. wie man sie richtig bedient. Ärgerlich.

Aufwind ist eine App für Aufgabenplanung für Aufwind-Flieger. Wetter- und Luftraumdaten werden auf der Karte dargestellt somit Streckenplanung vereinfacht. Zur Zeit sind keine Funktionen für während des Fluges wie XCSoar oder LX vorhanden.

Super übersichtliche App zur Streckenplanung

Mit dieser App wird die Streckenplanung sehr vereinfacht. Sie zeigt in der Premium-Version die Thermikverteilung über den Tag, Wolkenungergrenzen, Regenfälle und Vorhersagen für die nächsten 3 Tage. Man kann seine Strecke präzise eingeben und sich die aktuellen NOTAMS, welche für die Strecke Relevanz sind, anzeigen lassen.
Einfach super!
Ich kenne keine vergleichbare App auf iOS.
Ein Must-have für (Apple)Segelflieger.

PS: Wünschenswert wäre vielleicht noch eine vollständige deutsche Übersetzung.

Teilweise Fehlerhafte Luftraumdarstellung!

Die App an sich konnte ich nicht voll austesten, da man ein Jährliches Abo für 39,99€ / Jahr benötigt. Ohne dieses Abo hat man keinerlei Zugriff auf jegliche Wetterinformationen, da ist sogar meine Standard Wetterapp sinnvoller.
Außerdem sind die Luftraumhöhenangaben an manchen Stellen um einige 100m fehlerhaft was zu schweren Konsequenzen führen kann, falls man die App unterwegs mal benutzt. Deshalb auch nur zwei Sterne!

Eine der Segelfliegerapps! Top

Mir gefällt die App immer mehr! War anfangs nicht vom Nutzen überzeugt, aber es ist ein super hilfreiches Tool um Wetter und Notams zu checken. Aber man kann auch gut seine nächsten Strecken planen! Ich nutze die Pro Version und kann diese nur weiterempfehlen!

Schnell und übersichtlich

Die App bietet gute Möglichkeiten, um schnell die aktuelle NOTAM Lage vor einem Flug zu kontrollieren und den ganzen Flug inklusive Wetter und Geschwindigkeit zu planen. Ein schönes Sicherheitsfeature, für einen erfolgreichen Streckenflug! Nicht nur für den Segelflug geeignet, sondern auch für Motorflieger.
