What's New in Aurelius

7.0.0

September 28, 2026

“It is shameful to be wise only in your notebook,” Seneca wrote. Today, many people consume philosophy like fast food: they save quotes from Marcus Aurelius, expecting that they will magically make them calmer. But someone else’s thoughts are the result of someone else’s labor. In this update, Aurelius presents “The Beginner’s Path.” This is not a course that needs to be “completed,” nor is it a set of life hacks. It is a map for your first months of Stoic practice. We deliberately avoided progress bars, reading rewards, and material comprehension tests. The roadmap is divided into several semantic sections that will help you abandon illusions, understand the Dichotomy of Control, and move from reading to real, daily practice. You will learn why you shouldn’t start with Marcus Aurelius right away, how to avoid “beginner’s euphoria,” and why progress in Stoicism is simply a millisecond pause between the stimulus and your response. Your journey doesn’t begin with a new quote. It begins with your next statement.
