Works great!

Works great with Parrot Bebop 2, Skycontroller 2 and Flypad also Cockpitglasses 1 and 2 using an iPhone 12 mini and iPad 9th. Has a nicer display than the FreeFlight Pro. It doesn’t have follow me and flight plan. It’s like putting you into the cockpit of the drone.

Disappointed

So, today I tried this app for the second time (the first flight was rather quick - basically just to familiarize myself with the look of the screen). During this flight I had my Bebop 2 disconnected - that was not the app problem as I really went out of the controller range. However, once disconnect has occurred, the app showed a message about RTH - return to home - automatically engaged (this is normal) and immediately after that the app crashed (which is definitely not). Fortunately, I was able to quickly launch FreeFlight Pro app - the one that comes from drone manufacturer - catch a drone and cancel the RTH mode just before it went over a few groups of people, which is definitely prohibited in the US. I never had app crashes when using FreeFlight Pro so this experience is completely disappointing,

Other problems I had while using Auriga app included:

Head tracking. Once you moved the camera indicator dot from the screen center there is practically no way to move it back using your head movements - it always misses it. You can map one of your controller buttons to “Reset Head Tracking” function but come on, you should be able to do it just with your sticks
There is no way to decelerate smoothly. Even if you move your right stick back very gently the drone reacts quite abruptly - like you slammed on the break pedal in your car. This never happened to me with FreeFlight Pro
Video stabilization is off by default. Today was a windy day and, after looking at the footage I realized that everything will go straight to the trash - with those wind gusts the horizon was anywhere from 10 to 30 degrees from where it should be. Yes, you mention in your user guide that it is off by default but why on Earth you would have it off???

All in all, I can give this app 2 stars only. And, the second star is here only because of the Altitude Override mode. I have yet to try it and see if it really works and, if not, it would be a complete waste of time and money to me compared to the standard FreeFlight Pro app
