User reviews

Disappointing not AUv3

Good idea, but appears to only run as a standalone MIDI source - although there doesn’t seem to be any method of selecting an external interface. Not visible in AUM so very limited in application.
Buyer regret came very quickly with this one.

Update. 4 May 2025. After the latest update the MIDI data can now be routed. Although I haven’t found any instructions for the app, but monitoring the MIDI stream, the app sends data via CC 20, which I have been able to route to controls in AUM. Experimentation found that CC’s 20 to 29 corresponding to the app’s data streams, are sent when the individual streams are enabled.
When Aurora is routed into AUM Aurora is available as a MIDI source - however, when I’ve tried to load a MIDI monitor, Aurora disappears from the MIDI sources.

Interesting midi generator

Clever little app that generates MIDI CCs from live external weather data. Now it's able to provide a persistent virtual MIDI port it's actually very usable and an interesting alternative to standard LFOs.
