I like how easy this app is to use. I think it relies on your location (it never asked me where I was). It gives reasonable advance prediction for only 45 minutes and can alert you based on your preferred scientific thresholds. I was confused by the colors though… I think they’re backwards. In the app, red indicates the best conditions and green the weakest, but that’s the opposite of how I interpret those colors (green to me means “let’s go!” and red means “stay” — aren’t the alerts designed for people who are staying warm inside?). I’m looking forward to using this in a place and at a time where it’s much more likely to see the northern lights than get hyped up because the big city news said “it might be possible”

Hi, thanks for your feedback. It is true that the colors are reversed compared to what we are used to. This is because we use the probable colors of the Aurora! Green is a small common, orange and red are seen on big ones. But that does not mean you will see a red one if this is red. It is just a color code 🙂 we hope you’ll enjoy it
