Abandoned?
This app doesn’t seem to do anything anymore.
It working anymore
It stopped updating.
Doesn’t work well
Seems to crash when trying to submit a tip. Buttons overlap. Some of the maps are blank. It’s in a pretty rough state.
Nothing updated in many months
You will need to find an alternative if you want to know what is actually going on.
Old and broken.
App no longer works.
No activity
This app has such potential but APD doesn’t add any info. It’s been stagnant for months. Such a shame.
Result o Defund the Police
Obviously this program that allowed citizens to monitor and report crime succumbed to the radical budget cuts. A small tool against crime in our newly crime burgeoning city has been stripped. Too bad as Austin used to be a nice place to live.
Download Citizen App instead
Was great when I downloaded it a couple of years ago. However it hasn't been updated in 11 months, which explains why it no longer works. The app opens, but the most useful feature -- the crime map that lets you see what's going on in your neighborhood -- just shows a blank screen. Phone technology has advanced enough that the app is no longer compatible. So unless you want to find the nearest police station and don't have Google maps, out want to submit a tip to Crime stoppers, your better off downloading the Citizen app instead.

Rubbish...
Downloaded to use the Crime Maps. Doesn’t work, at all, and this is coded for older iPhones. Rubbish, pure rubbish...
Was awesome for a week, now it won’t work
This app was amazing for about a week, then it stopped working for me. I deleted it and reinstalled - still nothing. Any ideas how to respite functionality?
Works Well
It’s is working well and seems to be a pretty comprehensive app for a PD app. I’m impressed!
Austin Police Dept Mobile
WOW! Just got the app and it doesnt work. I would give 1/2 star for pretty graphic on iTunes App Store. The other half star is a "donation".
App won't/isn't updated
This app isn't updated at all. There are two alerts from October 17, that's literally it. The Crime Map has nothing in it. Disappointing.
