About

AUSWIDE ADVENTURES — Australia's adventure planner, in your pocket. From the red heart of the outback to the wildest coastlines, Australia is built for those who chase the road less travelled. Auswide Adventures helps you find them, plan them, and live them — all from one beautifully simple app. Whether you're a four-wheel drive devotee, a grey nomad on the Big Lap, a weekend escapist, or a first-time traveller heading north for winter — Auswide is the trip-planning mate you've been waiting for. — FEATURES — CURATED ROUTES Hand-picked Australian adventures from local explorers — the Birdsville Track, the Gibb River Road, the Great Ocean Road, the Cape, Tassie's wild west, and dozens of lesser-known gems. Each route includes distances, fuel stops, must-stops, and local tips. BUILD YOUR OWN ITINERARY Drop pins, drag, reorder. Plan multi-week trips in minutes. See drive times, free camps, fuel stations, and points of interest along the way. FIND CAMPS, STAYS & STOPS Free camps, caravan parks, station stays, roadhouses, lookouts, swimming holes, walking tracks. Filtered for the way you like to travel. 4WD & RV READY Track grading, road condition notes, last-fuel warnings, river crossings, and tyre pressure tips. Know what you're driving into before you leave the bitumen. WORKS OFFLINE Download your full trip — including maps, routes, and stops — to your phone before you lose signal. Because the best parts of Australia don't have bars. SHARE WITH YOUR CONVOY Send your itinerary to mates with one tap. Everyone sees the same plan, the same stops, the same ETA. TRIP JOURNAL Snap photos, log distances, record memories. Your trip becomes a digital travel diary you can look back on for years. SAFETY FIRST Built-in checklists for remote travel — water, fuel, comms, spares — plus the closest hospital, mechanic, and roadhouse to wherever you are. — WHY AUSWIDE — Other travel apps are built for cities. Auswide is built for the in-between — the long stretches of bitumen, the unsealed tracks, the places where Google Maps gives up. We work with Australian travel writers, four-wheel-drivers, caravanners, and outback locals to make sure every recommendation is real, current, and worth the kilometres. Built in Australia. Powered by Aussies. For everyone who looks at a map and asks, "what's out there?" — SUBSCRIPTION (Optional) — Auswide Adventures is free to use, with optional premium features including offline maps for unlimited regions, premium route packs, and unlimited itineraries. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled 24 hours before the period ends. Manage anytime in your Apple ID settings. What's New in Auswide Adventures

1.0.37

July 21, 2026

What's New in v1.0.37 (TestFlight release notes) Biggest update yet. New account tools, map fixes, and a fairer Founding Rider offer. Forgot Password: added a new "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in screen. Enter your email and we send you a reset link that opens straight back into the app. Reset links expire in 60 minutes and are single-use. Change Password: signed-in riders can now change their password from Profile > Change Password without logging out. Founding Rider offer updated: now capped at 100 spots (down from 500) and grants 12 months of Elite membership. The Founding Rider badge stays permanent on your profile. Paywall shows a live counter of remaining spots. Route planner "You are here": the Plan tab map now shows your current location as a pulsing blue dot when you open it. Drop your first waypoint (green pin) anywhere on the map — the blue dot is just for orientation. Live map fix: fixed the bug that caused random black squares to appear on the ride tracking and planning maps. Default map is now the standard streets layer, which is far more reliable in remote areas. You can still switch to Terrain, Satellite or Dark using the layer button. Better subscription errors: if a purchase button ever fails, you now get a clear, actionable error message instead of a generic technical error. Quiz reliability: the Monthly Outback Quiz no longer shows a silent "coming soon" screen if the network hiccups. Retry button appears with a clear error message, and the back button is easier to tap. Podcast player: the scrolling episode ticker now only shows on the Home screen so it no longer covers back buttons on other screens. Community feed cleanup: legacy test-ride cards no longer appear on the Discover feed. All community-submitted routes must be approved by an admin before appearing publicly. Admin tools (Auswide crew only): new Pending Adventures moderation queue and Comp Memberships management screen for granting free lifetime Elite to select riders. Monthly quiz winner emails: winners are now automatically emailed a congratulations message from support@auswideadventures.com.au. Unified membership: your subscription status is now consistent whether you joined via Apple or via the web.
