I’m glad we found out how the app breaks many drones on updating to the current version before we spent 11 k on the enterprise version with the thermal cameras if they won’t fix this issue. Such a shame, I had lots of fun learning on the Nano+ but…….

Drone not usable as it will not connect to the app. What a joke. Pay that much money and it won’t even connect so you can’t use it. Returned.

I can’t believe I am writing this right now but I need a developers response immediately. I turned my drone on this morning and was flying maybe a quarter mile away. A notice popped up in the app to tell me I had a firmware update. The stupid app won’t let you continue flying until you download the update but if the propellers are on or the battery is below 50% it won’t download. When that happens the pop up will never go away and comes back the second you reopen the app. This is what happened and I could not fly my drone back to me or use the return to home function because when the notice for firmware update is happening you loose all controls in the app and on the controller. I had to wait for the battery to get too low and the auto return to home feature kicks in. Well instead of returning home it decided to land immediately A QUARTER OF A MILE AWAY OR MORE IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT NEIGHBORHOOD!!!!! Well I’m sure you can guess but when I got to where it landed it was gone. Seriously why would developers allow that kind of ridiculous oversight to force someone who already had their drone in the sky to update the firmware and hijack the controls until they do even if they are in a position they couldn’t possibly start the update process. I am now out $1000 because of this stupid oversight in the code that could have easily been avoided. I need a developers response immediately because this is horrible

Buggy Nightmare
Anything even remotely related to Autel has been an absolute nightmare. Buggy app and software, simple information is hidden to where it’s almost inaccessible. I can’t even register my drone and Autel provides zero information on how to do so, or troubleshoot the issue. I SHOULD’VE BOUGHT DJI.
Pilot ID not accepted
App does not accept a valid pilot ID, which is mandatory to fly. Unable to use the drone at all! Please fix it ASAP!

Drone absolument nul! Dés déconnections intempestives de la télécommande et du drone rendant l’expérience de cette marque détestable. Vraiment n’acheter jamais cette marque de drone qui n’est pas du tout fiable. L’application est une vraie daube cela va avec le nom de la marque peu connue d’ailleurs. Merci AUTEL pour avoir fabriquer des drones aussi peu fiables

Unable to fly!!!
The app asks me to enter pilot id, yet it doesn't work even my pilot id works for other drones app. FIX THIS!!!
Didn’t like my iphone8 or iphone11
Drone rotors spin for 2-3 seconds but no launch. Second nano+ (after first one returned) and same outcome.
Additional abilities
Would be nice to set a predetermined course of flight aka mission, this is a simple thing that my former parrot be-bop had & was 1/3 the cost. 🤷🏼♂️ please do an update and add this feature, been a year since last firmware updates

Funziona tutto bene però dopo un po’ che la uso le registrazioni dei voli non vengono più caricate sul cloud questo succede da sempre per il resto tutto ok. Se riuscirete a risolvere questo problema le cinque stelle sono garantite! Avere la traduzione in lingua italiana sarebbe davvero molto molto gradito.

Good app, but…
The app is ok, easy to use, but has some bugs not allowing to upload the flights in the cloud. This is something problematic, as it is the only way currently known to sync the flights with online flight log services. If you solve this issue, you’ll get immediately 5 stars
Random App freezing and disconnects v1.6.8
New problem after updating. (Sep 19 23)
Updated to Autel Sky 1.6.8
Aircraft Firmware 1.8.5
Controller 2.0.0.10
IPhone 12pro iOS 17
Flys great. Shoots great. No issues except now randomly freezes and "aircraft disconnected" "rc disconnected"... Luckily there is a return to home button however no indication if it worked... Then when overhead and i could see it, the only thing you can do is exit the app out of memory and re open then all works... I tried different cords thinking it was a cord issue.
One other thing on subsequent app freezes and resets to know. When the app comes back on "home point is refreshed" is said and i verified on the map screen its where ever it is when the app reset..... There is a setting to have it come return to the rc location but thats in the app. Does anyone know if telling it to come home with the physical button will tell it to come back to the remote if the phone is disconnected? And if completely disconnected and the battery low will it automatically come to the rc location? Basically when you set the settings in the app- does it load it onto the aircraft incase of transmission drop?
Definitely starting to get range anxiety now.. Lol
