I also searched for Microsoft authenticator and this popped up, you go into install the app and then they charge you the $39 as you’re thinking is for Microsoft.

Looked up Microsoft authentication and this app came up down loaded thinking it was Microsoft then paid 39.99 for the year and then find out it has nothing to do with Microsoft. TOTAL SCAM!!!!!!!!!!

This is a scam, I also fell prey to. I mistook this app for the Microsoft app. Unable to retrieve refund after canceling right away.

I did a App search for “Microsoft Authenticator” and this scam App came to the top. It has an Icon intentionally designed to look like Microsoft App. They billed me $39 and when I immediately cancelled, they said subscription expires in a year. COMPLETE SCAM! App does nothing!!
