Useless download
Why doesn’t it just download on the day of publication. You have to fight to get the thing to open the new magazine to download. Good magazine utterly useless app
Still the greatest car magazine
With the Internet packed full of supposed ‘influencers’ who claim to know how to review cars just because they have a driving license, it’s great to see original and the best is still going strong.

Terrible usability
I know the app is free so they need to make their money through ads but they are so intrusive it makes the app pretty much unusable and puts me
off paying for the full version as I can’t tell how much is down to the ads and how much is just a poor app.
Shame as the content is good if your patient enough to wade through all the interruptions

The Original & still the best weekly publication
Have read it since 1987 on a D plate Nova from Vauxhall Opel Dealership in Wallasey I worked for before moving to AFG Edgemill and onto Rover Chester then Mill Garages as a Dealer Principal with Fiat & Alfa Romeo for the launch of the 156 and 166 then to Sligo for Hyundai ,BMW,Fiat & Alfa Romeo Launch at Martin Reilly.

Totally sh** experience
I purchase a copy and nothing. The app just returns to the purchase option. Tap the cover image, nothing. Look in my library, nothing. Try to purchase again. ‘You’ve already done that, would you like it again ?”
You bet !
Tap the cover still nothing. Complain through the app messaging - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING !
You just have to wait until at some point the app decides to let you in.
Pathetic.

Problems downloading individual issue purchases
For the past couple of years single issue purchase takes repeated attempts to transact. Even though payment is taken the magazine does not download. Frustrating.

Good Upgrade 6.5.2
Has been working very well since complete revamp some time back now. Latest upgrade (6.5.2) adds some neat features, and definitely enhances the reading experience, moving on from the “PDF” feel of the original towards a more digital feel.
Great mag. Terrible app
I have been a subscriber for over 30 yrs and love my weekly reads. However, this iPad app is terrible. Regularly the content refuses to appear. It rarely if ever s updated. It’s become quite annoying.
Don’t bother - app will not recognize Apple ids
I have had this with other online mags from the same publisher and have let the subs lapse because of it, but Autocar hasn’t been affected until the recent makeover. Now, any attempt to download new content via the Apple id route fails, and has done for several days now. It is a shame, the journalism is great, but the app developer isn’t up to the same standard.

Since changing over to the new on-line provider all is well and the magazine is there every Wednesday morning on my IPad
I changed over from the paper version early in lock down as the post was horrendous at the time and now I prefer it and won’t be going back. It will also be great when on holiday to download the latest copy whilst sitting by the pool......still the best mag out there to keep us Petrol Heads entertained......happy days,

Please give me the mag I’ve just paid for
I have just purchased the 2nd of December issue and despite a successful purchase the addition does not download. Rubbish. I keep repeating the purchase process and it tells me I already own it would I like it for free but then doesn’t give it to me. Rubbish.

The magazine is great but the app dreadful- impossible to use- get charged for the magazine but it won’t download
Superb Mag
Early days but the move from PixelMags to Pocketmags is a HUGE improvement! Magazines are now present on the day of issue and not days/weeks late. Thank you Autocar for listening.
Cannot get old copies
I had run this fine for a few years but it stopped showing new additions. I tried logging off and on but now I can’t get into my account. I have tried to contact the support but they don’t get back to you. Not sure what to do next.
Terrible app
Been a subscriber for many years. The app is glitchy and now simply fails to load new content despite my having a long standing subscription. Further, the app support is completely unresponsive, and basically non existent. The content is good but it’s next to impossible to access it.

I can’t access my account as the rest password link times out. New issues of the magazine weren’t coming through either. This really is an appalling app.
