By taking 5 mins to select the options you want , Saves hours of looking at cars you don’t want.
This app seems to work however
It is causing my ip 17pm phone to overheat a lot whenever i use it or if its on in background. This makes this app very buggy and this overheating issue needs to be addressed. I've not had a problem with any other app
Frustrating searching
Al I want to do is find a car in my local area for a set price, not one that thousands over my filter nor vehicles across the country (over 100 miles outside my search area) it’s all so pointless and annoying!

Omg … why ?
After the update the app went back 10 years ? Whyy ? It was soo nice before everything was easy and just perfect to find what you looking for . And now its awful … its soo bad i feel frustrated until i find what im looking for and im just going out if the app . It wasn’t necessary - whoever did this to the app ot ruined it .

Not all updates are updates
With the latest update has ruined the experience with the app, the new layout is confusing. At least give users the alternative of using the old layout

But not as good as it was . One of the spec sections is shallow. And the relevance search should be labelled random . But no mistake it’s hugely useful to the industry and customers

Electric cars
Great app but when looking at electric cars you need to add a battery health filter to all used cars to see the percentage.
Poor filtering
Frustrating limitation with the filters. You can’t select more than one model variant at a time, which makes searching far more time consuming than it needs to be. Same issue with car models themselves, if you want to compare something like a BMW 3 Series and 5 Series in one search, you simply can’t.
Carsales in Australia handles this properly, letting you select multiples across all filters. Honestly, in this day and age it’s surprising Autotrader hasn’t already built this in, or can’t update to work this way.

Since the update
Since the app update, it is awful. Not user friendly in any way, searching is so much more difficult.
New update
New update has ruined the user interface, drop down box after drop down box, not intuitive at all and takes forever to filter your search, now there seems to be a bug where I can’t clear search and I’m stuck looking at the same model? Not sure why they’ve changed it

Had my bike on here advertised paid full price cause it says video included but doesn’t say it’s through YouTube till paid for it and no information on how many views been received section for that comes up blank , complete waste off money and time .
The New Update Has Ruined Autotrader
Autotrader used to be simple, reliable and easy to navigate. Unfortunately, the latest update has made the app much worse. The last few updates have gradually made the app worse, the most recent being almost deemed not usable.
The new user interface is cluttered, confusing and no longer user-friendly. Basic things that used to take a few taps now feel unnecessarily complicated.
The biggest problem is the search and filter options constantly failing to work properly. Filters don’t always apply or stay selected, and searches can produce results that don’t match the criteria entered. This makes finding the right car unnecessarily frustrating.
The Deal Maker / Next Steps section should be below the description section instead of in your face, feels like you have to endlessly scroll before you reach what you want to know about the vehicle.
Overall, this update feels like a more than just one major step backwards. The previous version worked well, so it’s difficult to understand why the app has been made more complicated.
Please fix the search and filtering problems, simplify the new interface, and reconsider the changes to the advert layout. Autotrader was much better before this update.

What would also make it fantastic is if you could filter out specific models without filtering out the entire make, and if you could make a filtering option about service history’s

New search feature is awful
Recently a change to the way you search vehicles rolled out, and my experience has not been good. When searching for vehicles and inputting your make and model it takes a good second to load whereas on the old one it was instant, that way when I press search it loads my search with 0 filters and displays all cars that are listed. Also it is much slower in general to select brands and specific filters as you don’t have a side bar with the first letters/alphabet to choose brands quickly. A search bar replaced this in which is much slower than just choosing the first letters of the brand.
