Sort everything into categories that match how you think: insurance, registration, accident reports, traffic fines, quotes and receipts. There's a General folder to fall back on, and you can add and rename your own. Give a document an expiry date and it shows a badge as that date approaches, so a lapsed disc is easy to spot before it catches you out. Like everything else, documents stay on your device.
