avara is an amazing app !! i learned so much about the environment of kenya and the augmented reality was so cool. on top of that, i learned that 10% of the profits go towards preservation of endangered animals.

Not Really Augmented Reality
Anthropocene really isn’t augmented reality for the most part, the majority of the 6 photos that trigger the app (of the 50+ exhibited) are video links which was disappointing. You also need to connect to the AGO’s unsecured wifi to use it. Mostly the app was just a waste of time. Go for the photographs, leave the app alone.

Frustrating
This app was amazing at the AGO and I really enjoyed it; when it was working, which was about 10% of the time I had it open. The app crashed about 12 times, sucked my battery and was very slow. Apart from this frustrating glitch, when it did work, it was quite impressive. Works best at the AGO.
