Typical corporate greed
Was an okay app when it was free. Not a chance I’ll use it now that it requires a subscription. Like so many others only used it for hunting and will now likely invest in a proper gps device or just find another free alternative

It was nice showing trails and everything but I wish it showed public and private property

Expensive and non responsive customer service. Find an alternative free option, many exist. Boycott this garbage app

Offline Tracking
The value of GPS tracking while offline is very valuable. Especially for pinpointing our location for potential SOS calls.
Absolute degenerate move from Avenza
I’ve been using Avenza for 6 years as a wildland firefighter and now they won’t even let you use one map upload without paying their absurd subscription fee I think gouging firefighters says all you need to know. I’ll be finding another alternative

Paid sub and cant upload maps
I had a paid yearly membership with this app.
I jumped on ahead of my next hunt to upload the latest map from our governing body
the app told me I was at my map limit
I deleted the old maps which can't be used anymore and I was still at my map limit which means the only way to upload a new map was paying an extra $250

Used to be great
I have not used Avenza for several months and when I went to use it they had changed the 3 free interactive maps version to requiring a subscription service for any interactive maps. Very frustrating given how little I actually use it for trail navigation. I’ve just begun looking for alternatives!

20 uploads a year is insane not worth the money
I would rate Avenza 0 stars if possible
I have been using Avenza for 8+ years and use to love it. But there new rule of 20 custom import maps has made this app horrible.
As a forestry worker, I go through a lot more than 20 maps in one season. A $50 subscription (Avenza plus) should entitle you to unlimited custom maps, or at minimum there should be an option for in app purchase to increase your limit of maps. But requiring us to upgrade to a pro subscription for $240 more for more maps is ridiculous.
I will not be renewing my subscription with Avenza when my current one expires.
