AVOID Lite

AVOID Lite reveals the network infrastructure used in nearby cellular networks and warns you when the carriers around you are operating on infrastructure that carries elevated risk. WHAT IT DOES • Identifies the RAN infrastructure for every cellular network near your device. • Flags networks whose underlying infrastructure presents risk. • Monitors in the background and notifies you when the network you are connected to uses risky RAN infrastructure. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO AVOID Lite detects and warns. It does not block, modify, intercept, or encrypt cellular traffic. It does not change which network your device attaches to. You decide what to do with the alerts. PERMISSIONS Location (While Using the App): Required. Used to look up information about the cellular networks reachable from your current location. Without it the app cannot give you a useful view of the local carrier landscape. Location (Always, optional): Lets the app keep checking the network you are connected to, and others nearby, even when the app is not open — so it can notify you about risky networks as they appear. You will be asked for this separately and can decline it without losing the in-app features. Notifications: Used to deliver risk alerts. Your location data is used only for these features. AVOID Lite does not sell or share your location. You can change or revoke any of these permissions at any time from Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
