Not working on IOS 17 after update
This disappointing.
It’s not working after I update the application, it’s shows an error saying to contact the nearest branch for activation, and when I went to branches they say there is a problem with IOS version of Awash bank.

I recently changed my phone and I transferred all my apps to my new phone. Everything is working except for my Awash Birr app, it keeps giving me a message to go to the nearest branch and I leave outside of Ethiopia. I did update the app and still doesn’t work.

I don’t understand why this app exists.
I haven’t met a single iPhone user who’s been able to set up an account on here, let alone to move money. Just you can only cater to android users and go.

Doesn’t work on iphone 14 pro max
It used to be very fast and user friendly on my previous android. But recently I found the app is non functional on later version of iphone. I don’t know how such giant bank couldn’t fix simple app problem to work on every type of phone. I don’t know awash to this level. Please work on such unacceptable obstacle on users. It sometimes doesn’t even open . And when it does a few clicks in it glitches back to the home page . It needs a lot of work . And the branches have no idea how to handle this problems .

Iphone glitches confirmed for Awash Birr Wallet
Do not use this app to make wallet payment, such as tele or send money. The physical branches don’t have access to reversing faulty transactions and so far I have lost 300 birr in tele payments and 5000 birr in “send money” atm transfer. The phone agents have tried and so did the branch reps. Not sure who to talk to anymore, and I don’t know if I am comfortable depositing in my dollar account anymore. This app should not be on the iphone store with such glitch where faulty transaction is so far irreversible.
