What's New in Awing AI Learning

1.20.2

July 21, 2026

What's new in 1.20.0: Big update this release — three major additions and a lot of polish. STUDY SETS (new) Teachers can now build curated wordlists for their classes. Search the dictionary or add words that aren't in the app yet. Add notes, reorder, edit anytime. Recording, sharing with students, and class-only exams are all coming in the next updates. OFFLINE AI (new) Turn off Cloud AI and example sentences now generate on your device — no internet needed once the model is downloaded on Wi-Fi (~500 MB, one-time). Diagnostic messages tell you exactly what happens if something goes wrong. Full sentence extraction so you always get a clean sentence, never raw AI chain-of-thought. AWING KEYBOARD (new) Every text field that accepts Awing (Contribute, Translate, Report wrong translation) now shows an in-app keyboard with all the special letters (ɛ ɔ ə ɨ ŋ), the glottal stop, and tone marks (á à â ǎ). No more fighting with your phone's English keyboard. POLISH • Fresh-download reliability for the offline AI model. • Better error messages across the board. • Full-screen support for newer Android versions. • Assorted bug fixes and voice tuning. Built with love for the Awing community.
