This looks fantastic
Unfortunately, however, AYCM Manuscript crashes on launch on my ancient XS Max under iOS 18. This issue has persisted through multiple updates. Every time a new update is released, I redownload the app hoping it’ll launch. It never has, which is disappointing because this app looks incredible. I’d appreciate if the developers could investigate this issue. It could just be my old phone pleading for me to retire it.

I genuinely love this app! It has so many features that help with my world building and character development. Makes writing feel way less overwhelming.
Solid tool
This won't write your book for you (obviously) but it does help keep everything organized. Character details, timeline events, world-building stuff—all in one app instead of scattered everywhere.
The interface is clean. Sync works between devices. Some features I don't use but the core stuff (characters, timeline, relationships) is really helpful.
Good for writers working on complex stories. Less useful if you're writing something simple and straightforward.

Can be buggy at time
I like the app. It's nothing like really on the app store with all the different things it can do but it can be buggy some times but I like the features
Finally, an app that gets how writers actually work
I've been writing novels for about 8 years now and I've tried literally every writing app out there - Scrivener, yWriter, Plottr, you name it. They're all either too simple (just a fancy word processor) or so complicated that I spend more time learning the software than actually writing.
AYCM Manuscript is different. It's the first app I've found that actually understands that characters aren't just names and descriptions - they're complex people with relationships, arcs, backstories, and connections to everything else in your story. Being able to set up family trees, track who appears in which chapters, and see how everyone's arc progresses through the story has been a game changer for me.
The character development tools are incredibly deep. I can track motivations, flaws, strengths, and even transformation moments throughout the story. It's like having a dedicated character bible that actually connects to the rest of your project.
Is it perfect? No - there's definitely a learning curve at first, and occasionally I wish some features were in slightly different places. But honestly, those are minor complaints compared to what this app lets me do. For the first time in years, I feel like I have a complete picture of my story world in one place.
If you're serious about novel writing and tired of piecing together multiple apps and spreadsheets, this is absolutely worth trying.

I just started using the app but it has a lot of different features. It’s completely different than some of the other writing apps. I like how I can track my self publishing business.
