The great fix of the month
When my iPad notifies me there’s a new issue of Black+White I can’t wait to read it. The editorials of Elizabeth Roberts were always very good. She was a hard act to follow and Mark’s editorials got off to a slow start but now I would never skip his editorial. The photographs, the interviews and the regular sections, especially Eye Phone Photography, are terrific.

It simply does not work
I downloaded twice after paying for this app and after opening, it frezzes while loading the first issue from my current subscription. I'm using an Apple M1 Pro with Ventura OS.
Only B&W magazine to consider!
I’ve been subscribing to Black+White magazine since the first issue; from paper to soft-copy. Indeed, I have seen several changes over the years, from editors to overall format - but one thing stays constant: high quality features and consistency of its content.
B+W has stayed away from endless ‘top heavy’ reviews on gear, but only that’s essential.
Over the years, through this magazine, I have learnt a lot from featured photographers and regular articles that challenged readers ‘look and see’ the ordinary through a ‘black & white’ photograph’s eye - extremely valuable to me as an accomplished colour worker but now serious about ‘black & white’ image making.

Great photo magazine
Black and White has everything you would ask of a photo magazine. It covers classic and modern angles. It gives practical advice on improving you skill level and follows current trends in photo art. All wrapped up in each issue to be Sabo red like a fine meal; one course at a time. One of the best being published in this shallow time of vapid photo practice.

Creative lift in difficult times
Always a date to look forward to is the release date of B&W monthly . The bemused ramblings of the editor and contributor Tim Clinch & Lee Frost is a real spirit lifter and inevitably brings a smile to my face , with much reduced adverts as other mags but with more creative content too boot . It’s a winner !
Just one criticism ☝🏻, when the date of release is given , stick to it ! ( we do understand the current situation though 😉) but just put a later realistic date 👍🏻

Does not work with latest iOS update.
Tried to load this app. You can complete the setup screen, but when you click on homepage, you just get a white screen.
Rip-Off
I was charged for trying to get my free magazine. Now I don’t even have the one I was charged for and it will not restore. And I have no fee magazine.

to me this magazine of B&W photography, highlights the essential aspects of photos of the celebrated photographers of yesteryear, through the modern digital medium.

I look forward to every issue. I always learn something new and find inspiration to take with me when photographing.
A great publication
I’ve been a subscriber for over five years. Love it. Love Tim Clinch, who writes two articles in each edition, plus Elizabeth’s editorials are always good reading. Plenty of styles of photography is showcased, so all tastes are catered for over a year.
Great b/w Magazine
I’am an old fashioned when it come to black and white photography. I took a class back in community college for how to develop a film and ending up to use of enlarger to prints my own creations master prints. Black and white will still the original of all Photography. of course the digital brought the technology but the method will still the same and b/w will lives forever!

Complete waste of money crashes and can’t open
what the hell?
Two bucks for an app that will allow me to spend more money every month? Then, as if that isn’t bizarre enough, IT DOESN’T WORK. It goes to a white screen and just sits there and spins. WhAT a rip off. STAY AWAY!!!

Outstanding Examples of B&W work
This magazine does and excellent job of highlighting work that is strengthened by being in B&W. The writing and editorial comments around this work are first rate.
A great b+w publication
I've subscribed to digital edition of the magazine for a couple f years now. The quality is consistently high and a wide range of different photographers are profiled so there is something for all styles of photographer.
Could do better
Good magazine on a terrible app. I’ve used the app on a iPad mini and now on a brand new iPad Pro. Crashes on both if you can get it to open.
