About

Baby Check Light turns a spare iPhone into a dim, low-glare check light for nighttime baby checks. Open the app and you see a soft, dim red screen — no bright white UI flash, no harsh flashlight, no surprise at 3 a.m. The controls are dark and low-contrast so they don't wake anyone up. WHAT IT DOES - A full-screen light in red, amber, or warm tones - A brightness slider that defaults to dim - Quick timers: 5, 10, or 20 minutes (or no timer if you want it on indefinitely) - A gentle fade as the timer ends — no jarring snap - Remembers your last color and brightness - Keeps the screen on while the light is active WHAT IT WILL NEVER DO - No accounts. No sign-in. - No ads. - No subscription. - No data collection of any kind. - No medical claims, no sleep-tracking promises, no "smart" anything. WHY A SEPARATE APP The built-in flashlight is too bright and white. Phone screensavers fade and lock. Most "baby" apps shove subscriptions, white-noise libraries, and analytics into something that should just be a calm light. Baby Check Light is just the light. A SPARE PHONE IS THE POINT This app is designed to live on an old iPhone you keep on the nursery shelf. Open the app, dock the phone, walk away. The light stays on at the dim setting you chose. PRIVACY Baby Check Light collects nothing. No analytics, no error reporting, no telemetry. Nothing leaves your phone because there is no network code in the app at all. NOT MEDICAL ADVICE Baby Check Light is a dimmable screen. It is not a medical device, sleep tracker, or baby monitor. It does not replace adult supervision.
