BabyPantry keeps a newborn family's essentials in check — diapers sized to the runway ahead, opened formula on its 30-day countdown, freezer milk in first-in-first-out order — so a 3 a.m. change never meets an empty shelf. TODAY, IN ONE CARD STACK The "Today" tab is the morning dashboard: a size card predicting how many days the current diaper size will last (est.), a countdown ring for the opened can of formula, the freezer queue showing which milk bag to thaw next, and "Today's Reminders" listing what needs attention. DIAPERS, SIZED AHEAD Add the birth date once and BabyPantry anchors the size ladder: every size shows its predicted switch day (est.), and the runway estimate tells you how many days your size 2 packs will cover. Log the actual size change and the prediction re-anchors. Counts tick down by an age-based daily model (est.) — take pieces out by hand anytime and the model follows. FORMULA, COUNTED DOWN FDA guidance: use opened formula within 30 days. On Apple Intelligence-capable devices, on-device AI understands brands, sizes, counts and absolute dates in your language and turns pack photos into name suggestions; all recognition stays on the device, and nothing is stored unless you tap it in. Where Apple Intelligence is unavailable, a quick rules-based parser covers the identical flow. RECALL CHECKS, ALWAYS OPEN Type the brand and lot code from the bottom of the can and BabyPantry queries the openFDA food enforcement database — the only network call the app ever makes.
