About
Back to It is a tiny app for when you suddenly think:
“Wait… what was I doing?”
It happens all the time.
You walk into a room and forget why.
You’re halfway through something and it just… disappears.
You get interrupted, and everything resets.
“I knew this a second ago.”
Back to It gives you a simple place to hold onto that thought before it’s gone.
How it works
You get three slots. That’s it.
Type just enough to remember:
Dishes.
Boil water then pasta.
Email Sam.
When you come back, you don’t have to think.
You just continue.
Why it exists
I built this because I kept losing my place.
Not in big, dramatic ways—
in normal, everyday moments.
Cooking dinner.
Helping my kids.
Working on something complex.
Getting pulled in five directions at once.
I tried reminders, timers, notes.
They either got ignored, buried, or became another thing to manage.
What I needed was something lighter.
Something for right now.
What it’s for
* When a thought might disappear
* When you get interrupted
* When you’re juggling a few things at once
* When your brain just… drops it
What it’s not
* Not a task manager
* Not a planner
* Not a productivity system
No lists. No inbox. No history.
Just three things you’re doing right now.
A different way to remember
Instead of holding everything in your head,
you put it somewhere visible.
Instead of tracking everything,
you keep only what matters.
Instead of trying to stay organized,
you just don’t lose it.
Back to It is for when thoughts evaporate.
And you want them back.
