Worst app!
Purchased a subscription and would not work. App kept requesting I purchase again. Had to request a refund. App Support option didn’t work.
Absolutely garbage app
They will take your money. But good look getting them to help you when their garbage app isn’t working.
Great Mag, Awful App
Just a terrible app as others have said. You can see the magazine is available but you can’t get it on the app. Customer service is a joke. No response, ever and have tried numerous times.
Horrible App
The app hasn’t worked properly for at least 7 months. Deleted the app and reloaded it with iOS 14 and I keep getting an error message that says it can’t fetch content. Contacted customer service and they are swamped, obviously due to terrible app. What a disappointment! Get it together Backcountry!

App continues to forget subscription and delete downloads
Whenever I go to read an issue - that I purchased though the app by subscribing though the app, the issues are always deleted and I have to restore my subscription.
Kind of a hassle when you’re sitting in an airplane at 30,000 feet.

Fantastic magazine abysmal app
Works 50% of the time. Many issues only delivered after deleting and reinstalling the app. Got to read first 10 pages of the October issues before it crashed and disappeared. Why can’t they get this right. cancelling and going with mail subscription next season.
Doesn’t work well with iPad Pro
My favorite magazine, but the app really stinks with iPad Pro. Doesn’t fit to screen, zooming in on things is unpredictable, and scrolling once zoomed is hit or miss. It’s a shame because the photography from this magazine is epic and would suit the Pro screen so well if it worked.
The APP not the content
The latest version will not work on either the current iOS 10.1.1 or the previous 9.3.5. So ... it will download the current issue then let you read without leaving app. From then on the app quits on load.
Very disappointing for readers and Backcountry Magazine as the management by Pixelmag is at fault here.
Fix it or return my subscription for the last 2 months.

Crashes on open. Completely un-usable. Do not waste your time installing.
Good Magazine, Bad App!
I really like this magazine, it's one of the best ski magazines out there. The app is terrible, I have a subscription and it will no longer let me download the new issues. I have contacted support over the last two weeks with no resolution. The app also locks you out when you are offline and have not logged in online recently, very frustrating. I requested a refund from Apple with no response.

From bad to worse
App is garbage. Crashes on startup after working for a brief period. I get really tired of uninstalling and reinstalling this POS. Hey Backcountry Magazine, the jokers at PixelMags are tarnishing your brand. And they don't respond to customer services requests ever. Say no to PixelMags for a better life.
