This game is rigged

Like so many of these games, the harder skill levels are really just rigging the dice.

Response from developer

Hi dells68, thanks for the feedback — I get why it can feel that way, but I want to be clear: the dice are never rigged. Every roll, at every difficulty, uses the same unbiased random number generator. Difficulty only changes how well the computer plays the moves it's given — Easy makes deliberate mistakes, while Expert uses a neural network to pick stronger moves and make smarter doubling decisions. It never sees the dice in advance and never gets better rolls than you. What you're noticing is real, though: a strong backgammon player structures the board so that more dice combinations work in their favor — more shots hit, fewer rolls dance on the bar. That can absolutely feel like luck is one-sided. It's the same reason expert human players seem "lucky" too. If you ever hit a sequence of rolls that seems truly off, I'd genuinely like to hear about it!
