ABSOLUTELY NON-RANDAM ROLLS! Use of AI is expected! However, this not so clever exploitation of the system displays an unfavorable disadvantage that overplays the game to the max! Love the challenge of the backgammon! The challenge with this app is how accurately you can predict the opponent’s winning rolls, and how quickly the lockout!

Good and bad
Better than most on ads but computer plays poorly even on hardest setting. Too easy to win. This makes it useless for all but total beginners.

no cube and bad moves
you roll 2-5. you want to take the 5 but it plays the 2 first. very stupid. went thru all settings but no cube. why bother.

Couple of SW Bugs Need Attention
As I have commented in a past posting, this is a very good backgammon app that I enjoy playing. In 2 player, hard mode, the software does not always display who can go first after the first dice roll, requiring one to stop the game and try to get it to work. Problem seems more prevalent on black starting but is often on both. Problem does not seem to occur in single player mode. When one player has no moves (when the opposing spaces are blocked), the display graphic to continue is too large, almost shielding the green continue button. It’s worse on iPad, than on smartphone. Unless you know to try and tap the upper right corner, it takes successive tries to tap the continue button because most of it is under the rest of the graphic. Keep making fixes to this really excellent game.

Changing rolls to win games. Overall improved; however, ai cheats!

Had this for some years now and very good most of the time .However very frustrating when it won’t open just get a blank screen. Will go on like this for hours then suddenly free itself. 😗

Ridiculous
Computer clearly rigged to take out any lone chips. I find myself resetting every time the computer blatantly lands on the one chip I have open yet with 3 computer chips left open by computer I land all around it, but rarely on it. This game should be fun, not rigged for computer to always take your chip out. Not ANYTHING like playing a real opponent with real random rolls.

Frustrating
Computer ALWAYS rolls to land on my chip when alone in my home base. I rarely get the same roll to take out my opponent in the home area. C’mon. When that happens over and over, I restart. If the computer always gets the advantage, then I restart the game. Please fix the rolls so that it is truly random. Playing in real life is not even close to how the computer rolls. It’s ridiculous.

Good Game - but display changes not ideal
I have played this game daily for a very long time. It has great graphics and the algorithm makes it challenging for even the best board players.
CONS: The recent changes, graphically could have been handled better.
The screen size was made too small to accommodate ads - when the auto finish button could be moved to the right and the board size enlarged while still accommodating the same size ads. The moving roll and undue buttons cover much of the right side of the board, often on top of dice pieces. Their placement should be reconsidered. Get rid of the movement and leave them in one place on the board.
PROS: I have tried many backgammon apps and enjoy playing this the best. Although some of it’s logic is predictable, it is more balanced between the players than others.

Fun backgammon with obvious flaws
I’ve played hundreds of games with this APP in expert/hard mode. I win about 90% because the game has a few programming errors. It often creates blots rather than making points. Most seriously at the end of the game it uses the least efficient possible algorithm for getting its pieces into the home court causing it to lose close end games.

The new layout is actually smaller and harder to see. Even though it is on my side view. For the older set,

Game rigged
Game clearly rigged so that computer rolls the exact amount needed to get the other opponent on the board, to force the opponent to leave his chips open and for the computer to get several doubles in a single game when the opponent has gotten not even one double the entire game at times. This and more makes the game no fun to play. It’s pretty frustrating.

Seems rigged, like a lot of other backgammon games
The computer threw 8 doubles to my 2 doubles. I will uninstall this app because it seems rigged. A lot of folks review backgammon apps and say the same thing I did. Is there a backgammon app that isn’t rigged? I will keep searching!
Fun but it's rigged to lose
I've played this game several times and each time the opponent rolls doubles no less 5 times and I'll either roll zero or 1 double. One time I counted 7 doubles for the opponent and I received zero doubles! Fun game if you enjoy losing 90% of the time.
