Backgammon
This is the greatest game ever invented. Now there is more incentive to play daily with the new "daily goals" to achieve. This is the best app. If you could only download one, Backgammon would be it!
Cannot play online
Although I am logged on to Game Center the game will not let me play online, tired of this game not working.

This used to be a pretty good game, but it has devolved into unusable junk due to flaky network behavior and unresponsive tech support. Don’t subject yourself to the ongoing frustration; pass on this one.
UPDATE: as of 7/15/2026 (over a year from the original post), the app is still full of bugs keeping it from working with IOS 26, and they have told me they have no plans to fix them in the foreseeable future.

This is a really fun Backgammon game. It has all of the different options to play just like you’re playing on a real board.

Freezes often
Have to completely close out the app and try to reopen several times only to get a “recover”. Click on “recover” and still have to go through the same process until it finally works again…until it doesn’t again. Then you have to go through this process again.
Computer gets the roll..
Nice setup and easy to play. What is obvious is the computer more often than not gets the right roll to capture your pieces. Computer gets a lot of doubles when needed.
I have removed and reinstalled the app but impossible to play since ads interrupt every 30 seconds.

Love the no ads! But on my iPad the boxes move to the playing board and then I can’t play any of places and can’t see if there are chips under the box 😡
Best on line Backgammon I've found
Still need to prevent a player from being able to avoid having to use both rolls of the dice by using one first that leaves no alternative for the second when both were available on the board.
