Unlock all advanced training levels
Backshift's core gameplay involves a dual N-back exercise. You watch a grid and listen to sounds, identifying when the current position or sound matches what occurred N steps ago. The difficulty adapts based on your performance.
By requiring you to hold and process more information simultaneously, Dual N-Back, as implemented in Backshift, pushes your brain to stay focused under pressure. Daily practice of 20 minutes is recommended to build a stronger working memory.
The free tier of Backshift includes levels N=1 through N=3. To unlock levels N=4 and beyond, you can subscribe or earn access by achieving a 100% score at N=5.
Backshift offers two subscription plans for its premium features: 'Advanced Levels (Monthly)' at $0.49 per month and 'Advanced Levels (Yearly)' at $4.99 per year.
