Can’t open the App since the update and won’t let me reinstall it. What’s going on?

So I made a profile thinking this app is like all the others. But it bases out of the EXACT CITY you’re in and shows everyone. And ANYONE CAN MESSAGE YOU. With 0 interaction on their profile. I got stalked through the app and confronted irl by a barber shop employee who saw me in person and the app and yelled in German. To get my attention pointed at the app and his THREE unanswered messages. I bolted he messaged again in ENGLISH. Completely clueless about how creepy he was. Just asked why I ran away. There needs to be so many more protections on this app. Like permission to dm. And generalized large locations rather than EXACT city. Thank you.
