FAQ
What kind of places can I find in B'Aeretz?
B'Aeretz features 366 places to see, including landmarks like the Kotel and Makhtesh Ramon, 221 kosher kitchens with their certifying bodies named, 143 hotels marked as mehadrin if the hotel states so, and 36 shuls with minyanim and nusach.
How does B'Aeretz handle Shabbat and holidays?
The app provides candle lighting and havdalah times specific to your location, not just a general city. Yom Tov dates are included through 2028, and it will not list anything as open on Shabbat unless it genuinely is, with reminders not firing once Shabbat has begun.
How does B'Aeretz ensure accuracy for kashrut information?
Certification is reported as published by the certifying bodies, specifying the agency (Rabbanut, Mehadrin, Badatz, Tzohar). If supervision couldn't be confirmed, the app states this and advises users to ask at the establishment.
Can B'Aeretz help me plan my trip?
Yes, by answering three questions about your stay, preferences, and desired walking distance, the app builds a day-by-day itinerary. You can also pin a day to another city for planning and export it as a document or read it on your phone.
