About
Keep your boat's inventory, maintenance and trips in one place, and share what you learn with fellow boaters.
■ No boat needed
· Can I go out today? Wind, gusts, wave height and tides on one screen
· Where can I tie up? Marinas and anchorages with depth, fees and phone numbers, added by people who have been there
· Marketplace — buy and sell anchors, sails, life jackets and other gear
· Forum — questions and answers from fellow boaters, with marine news and warnings
■ If you own a boat
· Where did I put that? Draw lockers on your boat plan and put things in them
Search for an item by name and it shows you which locker it's in, even offline
Built-in plans for common boat types get you started, and every item can have a photo
Set a minimum quantity and get a "Running low" alert
· Never miss a service — set intervals in months, weeks, days or engine hours, and get a reminder when one is due
Record photos, the steps you took, the parts you used and what it cost
Replace a piece of equipment and the old one moves to its replacement history
· Repairs, checklists and documents — keep track of what's not working until it's fixed, run a pre-departure checklist, and store documents with their expiry dates
· Fuel and engine hours — log refueling and fuel checks, and see your consumption
· Logbook — departure and arrival times with the weather and position at the time
Turn on tracking and your route is drawn on the map (position logged every 5 seconds by default, adjustable)
Pick who sailed with you and the trip is added to their sea time
· Run the boat together — give each crew member a role that sets what they can do
Assign tasks, share a calendar, and post on a board only your crew can see
Plan a departure and the people you pick are notified in advance
· Selling? Export your boat's history — equipment, maintenance, repairs and trips — and hand it straight to the buyer
■ Weather, judged by your boat
The same wind means different things to different boats. Wind, gusts, wave height and period, visibility and currents are on one screen, checked against your boat's limits.
· Enter your boat's length and type, and your departure limits are filled in for you
· Go over a limit and it tells you which one: "Gusts are over your limit"
· Sailboats also get reefing advice — "Reef 2 in the mainsail"
· Enter your air draft and it works out whether you clear a bridge at a given time
· Marine warnings from Korea's KMA and Japan's JMA, plus spring and neap tide names
■ Works offline at sea
Inventory, maintenance, plans and the logbook stay available — and editable — with no signal. They sync when you're back online.
Marina and anchorage data for Korea, Japan and the Russian Far East is built into the app, so it works with no signal.
Write on your iPhone, check on your iPad, or open it on a computer at baetnil.com/app.
■ Free, no ads
Everything is free. No ads, nothing to buy in the app.
The Marketplace is only a place to meet — no money passes through the app. Meet and inspect in person.
■ Who it's for
Owners of sailboats and powerboats, people working fishing boats, crew who sail on other people's boats, and anyone who keeps a boat at a marina.
Available in English, Korean, Russian and Japanese.
■ Location
We use your current position only with your permission, to show local weather and tides. To get the weather, the app sends only that spot's coordinates to weather providers (such as Open-Meteo and national weather agencies).
While you record a trip, its GPS track is saved with that trip on our server. Only your boat's crew can see it, unless you turn on track sharing for that trip — and even then, the parts near departure and arrival are hidden.
You can use the app without location: just pick a spot yourself.
