About
Bakestamp is a camera for footage that has to show when it was taken.
Every photo and video you take is saved twice: the untouched original in your camera roll, and a copy with the exact date, time and time zone burned into the bottom-right corner, second by second for video. The stamped copies are filed in a "Bakestamp" album so the one you need to hand over is always one tap away.
It works like the camera you already know. Same layout, same controls, no setup: photo and video, flash and torch, every lens on your phone with pinch to zoom, every photo and video resolution and frame rate it offers. Tap to focus and expose, drag to adjust brightness.
Add a text label from the ⋯ menu and it appears along the top of every shot in the same style as the timestamp: a site name, a case number, a vehicle plate. It is remembered until you change it.
The time comes from your phone's clock, which iOS keeps synchronised, and it is written into the pixels, not just the file's metadata. Stamped videos are exported as standard H.264 MP4 so they play on any computer, and stamping continues in the background if you leave the app or lock the phone.
Nothing leaves your device. No account, no cloud, no analytics. Location is attached to your photos and videos only if you allow it, exactly as the built-in Camera app does.
Built for site inspections, deliveries, incident reports, disputes, and anyone who has been asked for "a video with the time on it".
