About

BaliSurf answers one question for 20 named reef breaks in Bali, Nusa Lembongan and Lombok: is it worth paddling out, and when? Two things a generic forecast app does not give you: SEE THE REEF, NOT JUST THE NUMBERS Every spot ships with a bathymetry map of its own reef, processed from free Sentinel-2 satellite imagery into relative depth — warm colours are shallow reef, cool is deep water. Bali's breaks are shallow coral: seeing the bottom shows you where the takeoff sits, where the reef dries out, and why the spot needs the tide it needs. PER-SPOT LOCAL JUDGEMENT, NOT ONE GLOBAL RATING Each of the 20 spots carries its own hand-written rules: the tide window, swell direction, minimum period and wind that spot actually needs. Uluwatu wants something different from Bingin, and Keramas something different again. The app runs the live forecast through those rules and gives you a star rating, a plain-language call, and today's best window. Also inside: • 20 spots grouped by coast — the Bukit (Uluwatu, Padang Padang, Bingin, Impossibles, Dreamland, Balangan, Green Bowl, Nyang Nyang), Airport Lefts, the west coast (Canggu, Batu Bolong, Medewi), the east coast (Keramas, Nusa Dua, Serangan), Nusa Lembongan (Shipwrecks, Playgrounds) and Lombok (Desert Point, Gerupuk, Mawi). • A 24-hour timeline per spot: the go window, hour by hour. • High and low tide times — most of these reefs only work on one tide. • Verdicts in words: "Firing", "Fun", "Wrong tide". • Log whether a spot actually worked. Your reports tune the spot rules. No account, no ads, no tracking. Only anonymous screen-view analytics (no identifiers) on our own server. Forecast data is free public data from Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0).

Anonymous usage analytics: the app now reports which screens are opened (screen name, app and OS version, device model — no identifiers, no session logs, no coordinates) to our own self-hosted Umami, so we can see which features matter. Forecasts and your session log still never leave the device. Privacy policy updated.
