Fun

Great game just update more single player things a bit

So good

So good it’s super fun, but it’s super hard to get home runs

Very fun!

It is so fun to play this game! I love pitching and hitting and I really love home run derby! It is so fun when you have to try and hon the targets! I am sharing this game with my friends! Everything about the game is fun! The only thing I want fixed is the multiplayer mode. Also can I have a developer review please because I want to know what I might be doing wrong for the multiplayer mode! I love this game!

Great game

Fun to play, but the game will not allow me to update it. Frustrating considering that in order to complete goals in the game you need to be able to update it.

Baseball

I love it other than when I do against someone online it always takes so long. I’ve never actually done it with the person.

A great arcade style baseball adaptation- comes with some linearity.

Ballistic baseball is my favorite baseball mobile game right now, and part of that is because of its simplicity compared to other games like it. However, after a while of playing, there are certainly some repetitive elements and conceptual rigidity that have made gameplay feel stale at times.

“The game isn’t over till the fat lady sings”, “That will be recorded as an error”, “next time he should wear a glove instead of a frying pan”; though seemingly insignificant, these quirky voice lines ( whose acerbic nature i enjoy on the baseline), start to lose their flare after you’ve heard them a million times (yes i know some of my fielders are due for some upgrades- but do you really have to point it out every time!!?? LOL).

On the other hand, the actual elements of gameplay (batting/ pitching) have a charm to them, resonate of the arcade like structure that the game was built into, however, this stylistic boundary linearizes certain elements that are inversely lax (yet nuancedly articulated) in other baseball games. The preference of either style is likely parallel to the sum of your baseball experience and your exposure to more articulate baseball elements (such found in games like baseball 9, MLB games, or simply the manifestation of physical baseball), that would be compressed in the transition to Ballistic Baseball. An example of these more linear elements is in the game’s quantized pitching structure. You see, In other baseball games, such as “baseball 9”, in concept, (aside from maybe the lack of some decimal differentiation), every pitch is different. This is due to certain timing, contact, curve, and speed elements that all sort of multiply to determine the trajectory of the pitch. On the other hand, In ballistic baseball there are fifteen boxes within the strike zone (6 of which are on the outskirts) that determine whether the pitch is a strike or a ball when the batter doesn’t swing ( the balls being the six on the outskirts). The only other variable that can be controlled is the kind of pitch that is thrown; this is simply determined by clicking on “curveball, fastball, slider etc.” button before subsequently clicking on the box you want to aim for. The trajectory of the ball *can* be shifted, but only if you jam the “accuracy mini game” before pitching.

Swinging in Ballistic Baseball is a lot like pitching in other games. There are more fluid elements, such the ability to shift your batter along a horizontal axis and your timing when hitting the ball. However, the swinging is only as good complex as pitching in other games. It lacks articulate joystick stick movement (not that there is one available for a mobile game), and directional input besides simply moving side to side. Additionally, as pointed out by various sweaty Reddit forums, the ball physics system lacks depth and is unrealistic compared to the algorithmic physics in other ball games.

Overall, Ballistic baseball is a great arcade style baseball ball app to dabble in when you’re waiting for MLB: the show to download on the ps4. Obviously, an app can only be so realistic compared to its fully equipped counterparts, and especially considering its free download and addictively simple nature, it’s well worth a shot.

Glitch

Every time I try to play as the Liberties, it keeps switching to the Riptide. This now means, out of the 6 teams, I can only play with 5.

No updates in two years and it shows

This game has potential, but has so many issues that it’s too frustrating to play.

A slop of a game

I don’t have much to say all I can say is this game has a lot of potential but y’all don’t use it first of all the pitches are messed up like the curve doesn’t curve correctly and the hitting is inconsistent. The graphics suck. Y’all could’ve made a great game out of this, but you didn’t prove me wrong

Skip this one

When the game is lost so frequently on an outfielder just straight up dropping a routine fly ball that’s when I gave up. Tried playing the home run derby and it was fun but completely reliant on hitting multiplier targets. Opponents start out with 12 points after 3 missed hits but then end the game with 1500 points. You’ll be hitting right in the sweet spot then the pitcher, this is home run derby, starts throwing off speed and curve ball pitches in different spots on the zone. Home run derby is supposed to just be pitching grapefruits to blast. This game sucks. Deleting and never want even look at it again. Devs, try again.

When is the next update

Fun game, just need a more recent update. Has a couple of bugs.

This game is mid

I don’t really like this game for a few reasons, reason 1 there is a bunch of old dudes trying to play baseball and they can’t even catch the ball, reason 2 the ballistic bash doesn’t even make sense cause when I hit a 520 feet home run it gave the pitcher 138 points and I only got 82 points and I didn’t really understand it because I had 520 feet home run and all the picture did was pitch of 520 feet home run ridiculous because how are you giving pitcher for allowing a home run?, last reason I don’t really like this game because every time the picture drops the ball and about to make it to first with the fastest player on my team who has five star speed the first place always has state has to miss the ball and then grab it and then go full speed like eight star speed straight to the first base and I get so mad because he’s running faster than the base runner and that’s why I don’t like the game.

Gameplay is good, no user base?

Developers noted connectivity issues were resolved in prior iOS upgrade, but I am idling at opponent search state. Annoying because challenges exist requiring opponent connectivity. Consider removing challenges, online connectivity, or both.

Jay’s review

I love this game. I love like the little home run Derby. I love everything of this in the creative of the game. You made an amazing game so

We need more customization

So I’ve hade this game for a minute and I’ve really wanted to make my own character. I think it’s great that you can customize your players add ons, but I think you should be able to customize their jersey number and name.

Ballistic Bash

Horrible, I will be up by 700 and then the AI will get like 300 a swing and then destroy me, 1 star.

Great game

Really good game I like the intensity but I have some suggestions I think you should have a career mode and I think you should also have a mode where you can build a team otherwise it’s an amazing game and I highly recommend it

THE BEST BASEBALL GAME ON MOBILE
