What's New in BandJam

1.13.0

July 30, 2026

• GIFs in chat: League and crew chat now have a built-in GIF picker. Search for one, tap it, and it sends. • Know before you open the app: A count of what's waiting on you now appears on the app icon, covering songs to submit, votes to cast, and unread chat. It clears as you catch up. • Longer chat messages: Chat is now 500 characters instead of 280, matching the limit already used for comment replies. • Sharper deadline countdowns: Countdowns now show hours and minutes alongside days, so a deadline 47 hours out no longer reads as "1 day". A deadline that has passed says so instead of showing "0 hours". • Fast Forward explains itself: Ending a phase early now tells you what the schedule will look like afterwards before you confirm, so closing submissions early no longer quietly widens the gap before voting. • Clearer submission rules: Leagues that don't accept YouTube links no longer mention YouTube on the submit screen, instead of advertising it and explaining the restriction only after a paste was rejected. • Read state that follows you: Chat read state now syncs between your devices instead of living only on the device that read the message. • Fixed leagues that could never be started. • Fixed crew unread counts not appearing until you visited the Crews screen, and a quiet league's unread indicator being crowded out by chat-heavy leagues. • Bug fixes and stability improvements.

Better than anything else

This is FAR better than the competition. The only thing I'd ask for is a way to cap the rounds of a Crew Bucket-based league, so people can submit themes while having a regular league cadence. For example, cap at 5 rounds, it picks 5 themes, marks them as "played" as the league goes, then people can continue to submit and we have regularly selected winners. Thanks for the great app!

YES

Pls need more users, the ui is so much better. Guessing who is submitted is so fun. Also a YT music user, thank you !!

Best Music Competition App!!

The layout is crisp and clean, the ‘best friends’ feature is cool and I love the support!! Amazing app!

Great to stay in touch with friends

A modern interface for social music platforms is a breath of fresh air right now, and it just works. Private leagues are a great way for me to stay in touch with old friends that I don't see much.
